Dr. Akosa is the best Psychiatrist I have had. He really takes the time to get to know you and is genuinely interested in how you are doing. He found the right combo of medications for me and has been monitoring me for years now. He is a great doctor and is so caring.

Dr. Akosa is a breath of fresh air in the medical field of mental health. He advocates for his patients and approaches them as a "whole person" when assessing their mental health and medications. He provides wonderful input and, if more highly specialized care such as CBT (cognitive behavioral therapy) is needed, he points his patients toward verified, vetted resources. He is kind and patient. He actually answers messages sent through the portal (unlike some doctors I know). His office gracefully handled the technological demands that covid introduced in 2020, and televisits went smoothly. The medical system would benefit from more providers like Dr. Akosa!

Dr. Akosa is great. I think the world of him. I have never had a doctor return my messages as quickly as he does. He is a good listener. I have medication resistant severe depression, so none of the medications he prescribed have worked for me, unfortunately, but I don’t blame him. Will probably try a different therapy, such as TMS.

I love Dr. Akosa! Honestly, he and God saved my life. The first time I went to him, I was a mess. I didn't trust or want a male physician, and he was who they assigned me to. He went to bat for me right away, got the practice manager involved, totally understood where I was coming from. They offered me a female doctor but I was so impressed with Dr. Akosa, I refused! I love him. He has helped me so much to regain a sense of stability and security. I will recommend him highly to everyone!
