BE CAREFUL OF THIS DOCTOR!
Everyone if you go to Dr. Ben Cilento be careful because he does not actually care about you as a patient and he only cares about money and not your HEALTH. When I first came to this doctor, he told me my condition that I had a severely deviated septum. He then told me I needed a nasal endoscopy and a CT scan done. Afterwards, he prescribed me medications and nasal rinse that I can only get at the Gloyer's pharmacy at which he assigned only. One day, Ben Cilento did not show up to check up on me, so another Doctor took his place and came to check up on me instead. I explained my situation to the other doctor of how I am currently feeling and how I did not feel any different in my symptoms from taking the medication. This doctor then prescribed me a different medication. After a few weeks later, I find out that I was not supposed to take these medications. Dr. Ben Cilento said the other doctor did not know what he was doing. I was shocked I paid so much money to this doctor and pharmacy

Pay only your copay
I was experiencing ear pain and hearing loss. I was given a hearing test and a prescription for antibiotics and paid $50. My copay is $25 but the receptinist stated that the hearing test was an additional $25. I called the insurance Co and was informed that a hearing test was included in the Office visit copay and that I was due a refund of $25. I notified the office and the billing dept lady initially stated that there was indeed a charge for the hearing test. I stated that I was aware that the hearing test was included in the office visit and she was giving me the wrong information. I asked the insurance co to call Dr. Cilentos office and explain that I was over charged. I again called Dr. Cilentos office after the insurance co. spoke with them and was reassured that a refund would appear on my next Credit card Statement. Almost 2 months later Iam still waiting for this refund. The visit was good, staff was nice but the insurance dept couldwork on their follow up task better.

×Post a ResponseAre you Dr. Cilento?
Dr. Cilento is a capable surgeon for the most part, but my overall experience with him was not good. He was very rude, arrogant and uncaring to me post surgery. I was nauseous from the anesthesia after my surgery and when the recovery room staff notified him, he told them not to give me anything and to hurry up and get me discharged. When they got me up, I threw up and sent me out the door regardless. At my 2nd Post Op visit I asked him about my Nasal Valve repair and told him that it was still collapsing. His response was "well don't breath in so hard!" My bandage also needed changing at that visit, but he didn't do it because I respectfully asked about the results of the procedure he performed on me. The nurse told me later that I angered him and he told her that "I could just suffer with the bandage and my nose". Doctors should treat all patients with compassion and respect no matter whether you like them or not! Unfortunately this is Dr. Cilento's worst trait!
