Our family experienced the new Roper St Frances emergency care unit on March 11th 2020. My dear mom, Thelma (Mazzone) McLeod was transported to the ER for stomach pain and was recently diagnosed with lung and brain cancer at 82 years old. Dr. Ford demonstrated his passion and care by providing our family with full detail and comfort of our circumstances. While the family decided not to chance surgery at that time, it was Dr. Ford who gathered his team to further comfort us during the time of need. His research and response to the matter allowed our family to feel good about the decision we had to make. My mom passed away a couple of days later. However, Dr. Ford and the other doctors made us feel like family and for that Roper St. Frances will continue to be our choice for generations to come. Many thanks goes out to Roper’s staff who assisted us during that time, including the security officers who were extremely patient with all of our family members. G.G

Dr. Benjamin and Dr. Blessing had to do a very rare procedure on me, it came out successful! He was great, and proficient. When I had any questions in regards to healing afterwards he was easy to get hold of on phone and in office. Most importantly my stitches healed up beautifully, I would definitely recommend him for any type of surgery!!

Dr. Ford initially saw me in August 2019 immediately following a ruptured diverticulum. He treated me with IV antibiotics and closely followed me to make sure I healed and wouldn’t need surgery. I was successfully discharged 6 days later. We scheduled removal of the sigmoid colon in December. He again followed me closely and I was discharged on post op day 2. The pain level was tolerable - only needing two doses log low dose narcotic. Dr. Ford is very caring and compassionate. I highly recommend him.
