Dr. Harris is simply the best at what he does. Our journey with Dr. Harris and Shady Grove Fertility was long and filled with challenges, but Dr. Harris remained a steady force of calm and care. No matter how big or small the concern, he and his team were quick and thorough to address it and put us at ease. He genuinely cares about his patients and their outcomes. He understands this process is both a physical and emotional one and addresses both these needs in his patients. I am so thankful to him for the magical gift he gave us and excited to work under his care in the future!

There aren’t enough positive things to say about Dr. Harris. I was hesitant to work with a doctor that wasn’t local, but that was never an issue. He was always available by phone or video call. And on the morning of my January transfer, he still drove down to Norfolk from Richmond to perform it, despite being his only transfer that day and the ice and snow on the roads!He was so patient with my husband and me, no matter how many questions we had or how many times we asked the same questions. I highly recommend him as your doctor!

I can’t even possibly begin to find the proper words to describe not only the care Dr. Harris provided me during my treatment but the incredible person he is. As an ER nurse and being at bedside for nearly 8 years I’ve had the honor to work along side hundreds of Dr’s and I can say confidently that not one of them has ever come close to having the bedside manor Dr. Harris carries in every visit. Whether it’s a phone conversation to answer my millions of questions, or an ultrasound to see the progress in a cycle he has been by my side, supported me, listened to me. He never rushed once. He never dismissed a single feeling I had. He went above and beyond the call of duty, even returning to work early from vacation to check labs for me and coming in another time on his day off to do my transfer. Dr Harris was immediately so kind and understanding. He was easy to talk to while still being informative about all of our options. We are thrilled to have worked with him. We are 15 weeks now and so thrilled he got us here!

After trying to conceive for a year we turned to IVF. We were lucky enough to find Dr. Harris to help us through the process. From the very first consult to the moment we found out we were pregnant, Dr. Harris was thoughtful, compassionate and understanding. He walked us through all of our options and explained each step thoroughly and precise. He even called us after hours to deliver news. We are now blessed with a baby girl and would do the process over again! We are so thankful to have Dr. Harris as our doctor!

Dr. Harris helped us achieve our dream and oftentimes believed in our ability more than we did! He is extremely positive (but holds space when you need time to cry), warm, and called us multiple times when I know he didn’t have to be working. He really cares about you. You can’t go wrong with choosing him for your care!

Dr. Harris has made this process amazing. It can be a little stressful but he is so informative and so caring it has help with relieving the stress and worry. He is there every step of the way. His whole staff is amazing! We are so grateful

Dr Harris and all the staff at SGF (Norfolk) are phenomenal. We had a great experience from the beginning. Everyone is very responsive and super helpful in answering questions. I felt like they held my hand throughout the whole process. I am very glad I chose SGF and I would highly recommend it to anyone dealing with infertility. Dr. Harris made our very nerve wracking time at Shady Grove extremely comfortable and welcoming. From the very start of our treatment Dr. Harris answered all of our questions and explained everything extremely thoroughly. We always felt he was advocating for us and on our team the entire time. Even through the tougher moments we always knew Dr. Harris was only a phone call away if we needed him. Thanks to Dr. Harris we are now expecting our little boy in May.

My husband and I first met with Dr. Harris as I was approaching my 40th birthday. We had met with other REIs and were left feeling discouraged with minimal hope of a successful pregnancy if we elected to use my own eggs. After Dr. Harris reviewed my medical records he was supportive and encouraging of our desire to use my eggs. He was proactive in recommendations such as the use of COQ10 to optimize my egg quality. Two egg retrievals resulted in 6 embryos. While our first transfer was not successful, Dr. Harris was both comforting and focused on options available to improve our odds in future transfers. Our second transfer was successful! Under the care of Dr. Harris I was able to become pregnant at 40 with my own eggs and have an additional embryo to transfer for a future pregnancy if my husband and I choose to do so. This far exceeds what I thought was possible at my age. Thank you Dr. Harris for being a guiding light of hope during a challenging time!

Dr. Harris is a very warm and friendly doctor! I've loved working with him to get pregnant for the first time. I really felt like he was advocating for me through some of my tougher times. He has always answered all of my questions and explained things clearly and thoroughly.

Our experience with Dr. Harris and his team at Shady Grove was more than we could ask for. Dr. Harris took the time to listen and explain each process in full detail. What meant the most to me was his follow up phone calls. He always called to make sure I was doing ok, asked if I had any questions, and took the time to explain each question I had. I was never made to feel like just another patient. IVF can be a very emotional process and Dr. Harris always made sure I was ok emotionally as well. I highly recommend Dr. Harris to anyone that is trying to have a family.

All of my interactions with the staff and Dr. Harris were wonderful. Everyone took the time to listen, treated me with compassion, and were very courteous. What I appreciated most however was how very respectful everyone was. They were very good about listening, giving options, explaining risks/benefits, then supporting the patient's decision. I never felt pressured in making a decision and always felt supported in whatever decision I made.

Dr. Harris and the team at Shady Grover Fertility ARE AMAZING!! If I could give 6 stars I would. They made me feel heard, cared after, and helped me pregnant quickly!!! Can’t fully express in words how thankful I am for Dr. Harris and his team!!!

After moving to Virginia, we selected Shady Grove Fertility to continue our fertility treatment based on their reputation, and we were lucky enough to have Dr. Harris as our reproductive endocrinologist. He took the time during our initial consultation to listen to our story and understand our wants and needs, while also providing us with realistic expectations and expert guidance. He and his wonderful nurses worked to get our remaining embryo approved and shipped from out of state so that we could proceed with a FET at our local SGF clinic. He was knowledgeable, compassionate, and personable during every encounter, and we can’t thank him, his nurses, and all the staff at SGF enough for the outstanding care we received! I would highly recommend Dr. Harris!

Dr. Harris saw me from my first consultation all the way through my IVF cycle and I could not have had a better experience. Dr. Harris communicated every step clearly and calmly and was a wonderful resource for all of my questions and concerns. Most importantly, Dr. Harris created a unique plan for me based on my test results and treatment responses, which gave me amazing results with as few side effects as possible. My husband and I would definitely recommend working with Dr. Harris. He was personable and had a great bedside manner, along with being very knowledgeable. Dr. Harris is incredible - after 1.5 years of TTC, my husband and I decided to explore fertility treatments. From the moment we met Dr. Harris, we knew we were in good hands. Throughout our journey, we knew that we could reach Dr. Harris for any questions or worries we had and he would talk with us until we felt confident in the situation, without ever making us feel like a burden. Dr. Harris went out of his way to call us after hours when we were awaiting results and always explained clinical information in an easy-to-understand manner. He is kind and patient, always happy to explain the scary parts of the process in detail. Dr. Harris made us feel like we not only had a doctor on our side, but a friend as well. He is professional but treats patients like people, not just clinical transactions. I can honestly say I have never trusted a doctor more than Dr. Harris.

My husband and I had been trying for two years to get pregnant. 4 days before my first appointment with Dr.Harris I received a + pregnancy test! I kept my appointment and Dr.Harris gave me the utmost support followed by blood levels and weekly ultrasounds where I graduated at 8 weeks. His support through this whole process was nothing short than excellent and supportive!
