Poor Communicator
This doctor does not communicate well -- even to the point of not greeting the patient when he enters the room. Trying to get info out of him is like pulling teeth. It is hard to say whether he is actually a skilled physician because of this big deficiency. He simply does not seem to like interacting with patients, and I wonder why he continues to practice.

I have been a patient of Dr. Nager for 20 years and highly recommend him. He diagnosed my sleep apnea problem in 2002 when I thought I had a heart attack.

Not recommended - poor communication, does not return patient calls regarding questions from appointment. Dr Nager unable to clearly articulate diagnosis and provide roadmap for medical treatment during office visit - even when Dr has test results in-hand. Head Nurse at Dr Nager's office finally returned call and stated I needed to make an appoint to get questions answered. First doctor I've encountered that does not talk to patients

Difficult to get them to give me results of my sleep apnea testing. No one ever called to explain the results - they only kept calling to schedule an appointment to fit me for a CPAP machine. Finally got the results in writing & found their testing was very basic & my results were "light" apnea - whatever that means. There was no possibility to discuss options other than CPAP. Also, test instructions weren't given correctly - had to call and was told not to worry about the green light explained.

Ever since Ive had public aide, the quality of care hasnt been good. If you're lucky enough to be Dr Nagers patient, you'll never be treated like apublic aidepatient. Him & his staff, have always gone the extra mile to make sure I feel better. That includes anything from a smile that greets you when you walk in, to extra phone calls it takes to get the med you need covered by insurance ,to the doc writing extensive letters to the insurance when they refuse to cover meds.I always leave w/ hope : )

On Xmas Eve we receive a certified letter that Dr. Nager will terminate seeing my husband as a patient, This is assumed to be their reaction to my frequent but cordial calls to the staff and supervisors to express my dismay at the poor response time on sleep Rx refills for my husband who suffered a brain hemorrhage 5 years ago. When refills are requested there is no response to the pharmacy, for days, and sometimes over a week. I was cordial but persistent to resolve this recurring problem.
