Dr. Benjamin Saketkhou, MD

Dr Saketkhou became my cardiologist after my previous doctor retired. I have been using this group since 2008 when I had a heart attack and received a stent. Dr Saketkhou as my new cardiologist wanted complete examination. Stress test, carotid artery. Echo cardiogram. After all test and blood work. He said he saw something abnormal. He then scheduled and performed a catheterization to check my heart, arteries and veins. Just pass my original stent was another spot. He had Dr Rothenberg install another stent in spot he found. During procedure. Saving another visit. He has been very professional and caring. If he had not scheduled all the tests l would have had another heart attack, instead of a scheduled procedure. For a long time I had sever cramps in my legs, to the point that I woke up several time a night with the most painful cramps. Then I met Dr. Saketkhou. He suggested a venous treatment. Already after the first treatment my cramps in my right leg were gone and I can sleep at night. It was like magic . He is a wonderful doctor, very professional and helped me return to my normal life again 'living without pain'. Thank you again Dr. Sakethou.

Very disappointed in this doctor. He is my vein and heart specialist. When reviewing bloodwork, I asked if I could have any complications with an upcoming knee surgery because my cholesterol was 268, and he said no, high cholesterol won’t cause any complications. He also said that the tingling in my arms legs head and my dizziness wasn’t caused by highCholesterol but that it sounds neurological. Wrong! High cholesterol before surgery leads to higher chances of infections and other complications and longer recovery time post surgery and tingling of the extremities is a serious warning sign of high cholesterol.He diagnosed my veinous reflux in both legs, but refused to help me address the pain. I can’t walk more than 50ft in the Florida heat without shortness of breath, rapid heart palpitations, nausea. dizziness and pain in legs from chronic deep vein thrombosis. I blacked out 2x last year walking in my yard due to my heart not handling the heat and my circulation problems. As it is

Dr. Sakethou was extremely thorough in evaluating my cardiovascular health as a precaution before starting medication with potential contraindications for heart disease. He carefully explained all test results, cleared me to begin the medication, and set up a follow-up schedule in three years to follow minor abnormalities detected during testing. While very thorough, he is not an alarmist. I am confident that I have the right doctor should I need more aggressive cardiology surveillance in the future.

My husband was his patient first. He has been going for 5 yrs. I just started. I have to say that to us, he is the best. My husband had open heart surgery and Dr. Saketkhou is keeping him healthy. When I had to see a cardiologist, it was a no brainer as to who I would go to. He is kind soft spoken and listens to everything you say. My husband doesn’t like doctors, but he lives Dr. Saketkhou and I also. I highly recommend him.

Dr. Saketkhou takes time to listen to my concerns and carefully explains my needed treatments. He has a very professional and caring manor. He is miles ahead of previous cardiologists I have had in the past. I would strongly recommend this doctor.
