A year ago today, Jan 2022, I was diagnosed with Ogilvie syndrome while a patient at Lakeland Hospital in Niles, MI. The diagnosis was a very good team effort, but it was during my 5th time at a hospital (only 1st time in Niles.). The diagnosis is what saved my life at the time. Dr. Ben Sopcynski has followed up with us this past year, and in November '22, he repaired 3 hernias that became troublesome as a result of the severe bloat of Ogilvie. So, I have said this to him, Dr. Shuhkneckt (I hope it's not misspelled), and the other Team Members who were involved with me how proud and grateful for them, but more to God Almighty that heard the prayers of myself and many others seeking His help and healing for me. Yes, I recommend them all to our community.

General Surgery
Excellent doctor who I very highly recommend. Very professional with an outstanding bedside manner. My procedure was done as an outpatient one and I experienced zero discomfort as well as highly professional care from both the doctor and his wonderful nurse Jessica. As a sidenote the check in process was streamlined and quick as I filled out all of the paperwork on MyChart before going. A+. Would highly recommend to anyone with general surgical needs.

gallbladder removal
Dr. Sopczynski took out my gallbladder that had scar tissue around it , he did a very good job ,i would go to him again.
