Beware of losing a say in your care

Bernard was condescending, infantilizing, and ultimately did not care to explain why he made certain decisions about my medical care.He has right to take you away from the person you have historically been working on medication management with and will be solely transferred into his care, it too many appointments had been missedI was not notified of this, was not warned after so many missed. He stated that we could talk about me being transferred back to my original provider after some time had passed and I did not miss appointments. Finally happen, he agreed I had not missed in a good amount of time, but still refused. He cited that my original provider was not capable of providing me with good care. The other providers at the practice are amazing. I would never recommend Bernard to anyone for fear they would be treated as if they are incapable of sound decision making. If you speak to loudly about his behavior he will terminate your care so be careful and honestly avoid him.

Dr. Kim was not the best fit for me
Telehealth
Ultimately, I did not trust Dr. Kim’s decisions as it relates to my mental health. The medication he put me on did not help alleviate my conditions, personally. I don’t recommend this doctor to others.

Condescending, Bad Diagnositician, Too Many Meds
I saw Dr. Kim for more than a year. I suffer from depression and panic attacks, He wanted to put me on 3 to 4 different strong medications, including something for bipolar. I said he never diagnosed me as bipolar, he challenged me brusquely, we argued, he got up from his chair, checked his computer and said "That is right I have never diagnosed you as bipolar". Then he said "But I am the doctor and I know what medications you need." He wanted to diagnose my sleep problems and said six hours sleep was sufficient. My sleep doctor said 8 hours was appropriate. Dr. Kim wanted to be my employment advisor and asked my why I needed to revise my resume for every job to which I applied. Everyone (but the Dr) knows you have to tailor a resume to emphasize certain skills for certain jobs. He said having 3 lovers in one year was dysfunctional. The last time I saw him I finally realized every time I walked out of his office I felt worse than when I went in.

Dr. Kim has helped me navigate the present by addressing challenges that have surfaced from the past. He has made himself available for more frequent appointments in times of crisis and I'm forever grateful for his support in helping me look at life through a wider lens.
