Dr. Bernard Zaragoza, MD

Doesn't take time to help or answer questions. He spent three post op visits denying that there was anything wrong until finally, a year later, he said 'well sometimes you're just left with lifelong chronic pain' and shuffled me out the door.

Dr. Zaragoza is a very nice, very competent surgeon.

Dr Zaragoza was recommended by another Dr friend who had a similar surgery. He is soft spoken and reassuring. He explained what the surgery entailed and afterward explained what he found and what he did. My recovery was very good and significantly better than a similar surgery several years prior. I am very active and grateful for his skill.

All about the money. Visited twice with referrals so he got paid each time. He refuses email, teleconference or even speak with patient on the phone. Refuses to discuss surgical options, type and source of hernial mesh. Staff calls him “old school.” Many other higher rated physicians to choose from. I refused and notified my PCP for a different physician.

Had a biopsy done today. Dr Zaragoza was amazing. He explained everything and was as gentle as can be. If you have to have a breast biopsy I highly recommend him.

Not great. I was told by the MD I needed a medical device, covered by my plan, and a week later I am still waiting for his staffers to follow up with a prescription, as required by the insurance company. Apparently, they either haven't been taught, or forgot, that billing for a visit to the MD includes prescriptions needed. Not to mention the obvious; that if a patient's pain could be alleviated by something as simple as faxing a prescription, they should make it a priority to get off the comfy couch and do their required part. Honestly, I'm not sure what's worse; the negligence, or his employees' attitude when I call to ask about the delay. It's almost as if they were doing me a favor. Doctor Zaragoza may be the greatest guy in the world but, as of right now, three follow up calls later, I have no device, and no rx for one, either. Will call insurance company next. Finally, thanks to his staff and their uncaring behaviour, I'm going to another doctor.

He explained to me what had to be done in diagram and what had to be expected after the operation. He is very informative . I had my gallbladder removed, but during and after the operation, I did not experienced any pain.

Zaragoza gave me a second chance in life.Back in 2006 I went to Dr. Zaragoza because I was diagnosed with a goiter in my neck,once in his office,he personally spoke to me about what the procedure would be like in such a professional manner that I was so at ease,I was very scared about this surgery and with no choice but to do it.Is going to be 10 years in March 2016,and I FEEL GREAT,his assistant and all that participated in my surgery were awesome.
