Doesn't know about HRT at all
I saw Dr. Benson towards the beginning of Covid and she was crazy about masks and asked me to cover up better (masks don't work and I wasn't ill). I was there for a pap test and HRT and instead of prescribing HRT, she prescribed birth control pills. I suggested blood work to see where hormone levels were but she didn't think that was necessary. After a few months I stopped taking them and went somewhere else where Dr. did believe testing was important, because it is important! Recommending birth control for HRT is bad medicine and I can say that now after talking with more competent doctors. Birth control suppresses your natural hormones and are not bioidentical which is what HRT should strive to be.

I have been an RN for 24 years and I have to say that my visit with Dr. Benson was horrible. She dismissed my concerns and talked over me and addressed me like she was scolding a child. I came in for a routine Pap smear and some help to relieve menopause symptoms. She seemed intimidated by my questions to simple questions about hormones. I only went to her because she advertises being a menopause specialist…I think not!!

Never got to visit the physician. Due to traffic conditions I was 7 minutes late for a 3:15 appointment. I tried calling the office to let them know I was delayed and the phone just rang and rang then went to voice recording. When I arrived I was told the Dr left for the day since I was late and hadn't completed my questionnaire. Don't need a doctor like that. Will find one with compassion.

If I could leave 0 stars, I would! Benson delivered my first son and had such an uncaring, unfeeling attitude. She even stormed into the delivery room with a piece of pizza in her hand and declared "If you don't get busy, young lady, we are going to be here all night!" I eventually needed a C-section due to my baby's size and she was angry and exasperated about that. Post-delivery, she never said "good luck" or "good bye", nothing. The memory of that traumatic treatment haunts me still, 21 years later. I pray she retires soon, to avoid doing more damage to new, frightened moms. Shame on her!

I first saw Dr. Benson when my doctor of many years retired. I was so happy to find out she was an awesome replacement. When she left the Diagnostic Clinic I decided to make the trip to stay with her. She is a wonderful doctor and I would highly recommend her to all family and friends.

I saw Dr Benson once and it was the worst experience I've ever had with a doctor. Rude and bad bedside manners. She seemed bothered to see me. Reluctantly gave me an exam and before giving me time to dress after, she began dismissing my concerns and medical history, talking over me, rolling her eyes when I spoke, and accused me of simply wanting a quick fix. She told me to go on the pill and rushed me out. I left in tears.

Dr. Beth Benson has been my Obgyn for 19 years now. She delivered 2 of my children via c-section. She is a great Dr and I would recommend her to all my friends and family.

I have had the displeasure to be Dr. Benson's patients for a little over a year now. I have almost had two appointments with her. The first was my first ever appointment in which she rushed me out of the office and handed me pills with no explanation. A year later, I had another appointment just for a check up, and she decided that I, her patient, was not worth her time and did not show up. She has no regard for her patients care of their time and truly only cares about your monetary value.

I have been searching for Dr. Benson, since she left the practice on 38th Ave. The new physician that I was assigned has poor bedside manor, nothing like Dr. Benson, who can make the most humiliating experience, a walk in the park. I'm calling tomorrow for an appointment......Denise B.C.

I only saw her once for a pap/pelvic exam. I attempted to reschedule a biopsy but she had already closed her Largo office. I made several attempts to get a phone number in order to contact her new office, but I never found anything online except a fax number. I faxed a request for a new appointment, but I never received a return call or message. I then decided to find another ob gyn for my future appts.

She does not listen , does not care and does not read your chart. I'm a 50 year old woman who needs and was referred for a hysterectomy- with a family history of cancer- I have had a heart attack and have high blood pressure - she wanted to put me on the pill and have me come back in 3 months! Also terrible bedside manner. Second worse doctor I have ever seen and the worst misdiagnosed cervical cancer.

I have seen Dr Benson for 15 years and love her! She takes time to listen to my concerns and answers my questions without being in a hurry or feeling rushed. She doesn't make me wait in her waiting room which is a ++++++. I recommend Dr Benson.

She was immediately rude, and has no bedside manners. She did not care about my concerns, and she wanted to change the medication I've been on for years (reduce my dose), and give me antidepressants ! I was appalled. This is the first time I have ever met this woman, and she said that she thought They would be good for me. When I told her about my high cholesterol and liver problems, she disregarded my concerns completely. She also filled the wrong prescription.
