Elite Retinal Specialist
Dr. Yousufzai is knowledgeable, thorough, and adept at what he does. He listened to me on my first visit, and we discussed my AMD, its potential for progression/retardation or even possibly halting its progression with available treatments and any special needs that he should know about. I have received many injections from him and I can honestly say that because of his meticulous pre- and post-injection protocol, and especially his injection technique(!), they are not only next to painless but have resulted in little to no post-procedure problems. If a family member or friend had AMD, I would recommend with the strongest confidence and highest recommendation that they try to get an appointment with Dr. Yousufzai. I did just that recently, and my friend was as pleased as I have been with his decision to become Dr. You's patient.

A truly outstanding Physician
I chose Dr. Yousufzai because of his reputation as a highly skilled surgeon. At this point my circumstances do not yet require surgery. However, it is the other part of his skill set that has impressed me. From the very first appointment one could tell he is highly knowledgeable. He thoroughly explained my medical condition and patiently answered all my questions. In all of my appointments with him I have always felt at ease and never felt rushed. I’ve also been impressed with his team. They also are personable and professional, yet efficient. I hope that I will never need this retinal surgery. But if I do, I’m confident that I will be in the best of hands.

Dr Y assisted on two detachments and three followup surgeries with Dr Busquets in January of 2018. He has examined me a few times since then. He is now my primary doctor at AIO has has my complete confidence. If not for Dr Y, Dr B, Debbie the over night on call nurse and staff, I would not have vision in the right eye. Remember, if you have to wait a few hours at your AIO appointment, an emergency always jump ahead of an office visit. For that I am thankful!
