I had another PCP for years who brushed off every problem I have mentioned. After she left the practice I was assigned Dr. Liu as my PCP in the beginning of 2024. I have had more things fixed, remedied, checked out in the last 11 months with Dr. Liu than I ever did before. She is thorough, thoughtful, brilliant. I could not be happier than I am with her as my PCP.

Unprofessional
Found Dr. Liu to be very rude and unprofessional. Because of a severe hearing loss, asked Dr. Liu to pull her mask down as a curtesy so I could read lips even though I wear Binaural Hearing Aids. She refused, so at that point I got up and walked out of the exam room while she was speaking. As a retired medical professional myself, I deemed Dr. Liu unfit as a physician and wouldn't send my dog to see her. Dr. Liu's services should be directed toward a primate animal!

Horrible Money Making practice
Literally one of the worst doctors ever and I wish I could give negative stars!Sees you late, because they intentionally overbook to see as many patients in a day to generate cash flow.Office visit was 4 minutes long!Dr didn’t do anything other than have someone check pulse and BPListen to your lunges barely coming into contact with them, never asking for a deep breath, and didn’t even allow for questions or provide answers to any concerns other than to order labs (make more money) and have another office visit (again to make more money).Avoid this doctor/ she was useless and the 4 minute office visit was $509.00.

Very accommodating
Dr. Liu is efficient and very accommodating especially if you need to be seen right away. Wait times are minimal and she is very friendly. Her secretary Stephanie is great as well!I would recommend Dr. Liu to anyone looking for a new PCP

Dr. Liu was rude, did not answer questions, did not listen to why I was even there! After speaking to numerous other patients, very surprised she is a doctor at Hawthorn…. Unfortunately, looking for another primary physician..

A family member of mine is currently one of Dr. Lui's paitents and to be quite honest,as a doctor,I cannot stand this woman. She's rude, appears totally disinterested and I would genuinely love to know how you can perform an exam when you won't get off your stool or look away from your computer.? She prescribes medication, sends the order to the pharamacy and then cancels it after requesting a visit. What if the paitent needs to take the medication regularly? She also prescribes medication and doesn't pay attention to side effects that could potentially take place. (She prescribed medication that can cause kidney damage to someone who has kidney damage and then told the paitent,"You have lots of kidney damage." Umm...wouldn't that be in the paitent's chart considering they are paitent of a urologist in the same location? Her bedside manner is awful! As I said she barely looks up from her computer, belittles and insults the paitent and then threatens to drop the paitent for not obey

Terrible turns all issues into billable services. Not thorough did an annual physical on a male without prostate exam . Orders blood work on same day no cholesterol fast and ignores bad results. her staff always try’s to schedule telehealh appointments for a simple question . A reckless crook find some one else if you care about your health.

Dr Bung Liu was my PCP for approximately two years, during which time I saw her only twice for DOT physicals. I stopped going in for physicals when I stopped driving commercially & was at some point dropped as a patient without notice (Hawthorne mismanagement!) . I DO NOT miss Dr Liu, as I got the impression she didn't fully understand English, nor did she speak it well - unacceptable for ANYONE who's lived in the USA for 30 years (or even five).. & certainly not for a practicing physician.

Another reviewer echoes my sentiment. Dr. Liu is useless and I've finally decided to go elsewhere. She's very short with her appointments and doesn't respond well to questions or concerns. She seems perpetually aggravated and is shockingly misinformed on some very key topics. Her knowledge appears to be greatly outdated.

Dr. Liu is useless. Never in the office to see patients, and always refers to her NPs. Most recently I went to see her for a follow-up appointment to one I had with her NP. Sat in the exam room for almost a full hour before she came in. When she did, she never once got off her stool and away from her computer to examine me. I've not been happy with this office for a long time, and this was my final straw. Stay far away from Hawthorn.

Dr Bing Lui is a wonderful Dr. However, her office staff leaves much to be desired. I think waiting on hold on the phone twice for 25 minutes is ridiculous just to make a check up appt.! Then when you say anything the person who answers the phone is rude and cross. Not a patient friendly staff. They seem disgruntled.
