I’ve had my testosterone checked 3 separate times and they’ve all read extremely low (less than 100). He essentially compared my situation to “castrating a dog” I’m guessing in his attempt to say testosterone isn’t that important since dogs are fine? He seems to think a CPAP will fix all of my problems. When I asked him about the 3 pages worth of symptoms that I circled, he told me to see my family doctor, yes, the same doctor that referred me to an endocrinologist for said symptoms. He was very dismissive and from reading the reviews, this shouldn’t come as a surprise.

Dr Erdel was upfront within the first 5 mins of the appt that he is very traditional doctor and only treats using TSH lab results and within range. Dr. Erdel won't treat based on how the person is feeling. He won't comment on adding any vitamins or supplements he utilizes traditional medicine only. I was thankful he was so upfront and honest with me, so I could decide if he was the right doctor for me. Dr. Erdel is very junior and textbook driven, and would be a good Dr for a simple thyroid case. If you have a complex case, you have a T4 to T3 conversion issue, or if you are someone who typically feels better out of range on TSH, you will want to find an more experienced doctor.

I had a very good experience. He took his time and instead of burying his nose in laptop, he looked at me and actually did a real hands on physical exam. I was reassured and happy.

Most ridiculous experience I have ever had dealing with "medical professionals." In all the scheduling/registering for this appointment, I was clear that I am pregnant and have been passed around because so, but Dr. Erdel accepted me. First thing he said when I met him "I don't want to sound dumb, but why are you here," then proceeded to say he "can't do anything since [I'm] pregnant." That's ALL that happened at the appointment, but he still charged me $190 for a visit. Steer clear at all costs

From the first handshke to the last I was made to feel comfortable. He understood that not all diabetics fit into the same mold. The is the first doctor I did not have to train to understand my weird diabetes. He NEVER talked down to me! He treated me with respect and kindness. He is the first Endocrinologist I have ever seen. I will continue to see him. He taught me during the visit, loved it.

I have delt with nurse practitioners in the past that have more knowledge about endocrinology than he does. I went in for a disappointing appointment and complete waste of my day. I had to take off work for this appointment.

After reading my paperwork and asking no questions, he let me know that my lab results weren't "exciting" and he hates doctors who want to blame everything on the thyroid (meaning my doctor who referred me). Fortunately my competent doctor sent me to a competent endocrinologist who performed an ultrasound and biopsy and discovered I have thyroid cancer. I had a total thyroidectomy. I'm glad my other doctors don't look for the "exciting" (easy) cases.

Dr. Erdel has been trying to help me with managing my diabetes. He listens and offers his professional opinion and options to choose from. He suggested I see a Diabetic Educator and I have an appointment set up. I wish I could see him more often, but he's only in the satellite office once a week and he has a large number of patients to see.

I went to see Dr Erdel with 2 sets of lab work in hand. Having issues for a while and needed help in getting answers. He came in, did not ask me 1 question - just said based on my blood work, everything was fine. I needed to loose weight and that would get rid of all my issues I was complaining about. I refused to even speak to him after the lecture I got (he was VERY rude), and he walked out. Still had the nerve to charge me out the wazoo even though he did absolutely nothing.

I was excited to get in to see Dr Erdel due to issues with insulin resistant, thyroid removed and having issues with it and my joints hurt.I was immediately let down as he came in the room and said within 2 minutes I don't know you, I can tell you are over weight and need to lose weight.I said I was aware I needed to lose weight since my thyroid was removed, I hadn't felt like doing anything. He proceeded to be rude and kept sayingI don't know you, and I dont know what you want from me! RUDE!
