I was shocked when Dr. Yoo entered the room and asked me to leave without even speaking with me. He stated that I should follow up with my surgeon from another hospital regarding my neck problem. Despite my repeated attempts to explain that my issue was unrelated to my neck surgery and was actually due to my ongoing back pain, he ignored me and insisted that I leave.Dr. Yoo was kind when I first saw him before my neck surgery in 2024. However, since I chose to have my surgery at a different hospital, his demeanor completely changed when I saw him yesterday., was it because I didn’t have the surgery with him?I mistakenly believed that he would help resolve my back pain. Is this the kind of work ethic a doctor should have? Does he uphold the moral standards expected of a physician? After checking reviews, I realized that other patients have had similar experiences with him.

Best neurosurgeon
I got to have experience with him in lorain Ohio. He performed a disc replacement in my neck. Told me all the possibilities after I asked what could happen. By far the most genuine and honest doctor I ever met. Has a personality unlike most. I will travel to wherever he is to have any other surgeries. Best doctor I have ever experienced!!!! Thank you!!!

I love this man
I was diagnosed with syringomyelia. Most doctors do not know enough about this condition hence you will not get the treatment that is needed. I was paralyzed from waist down and Dr Yoo said I'm too young to be paralyzed. My surgery was in August 2022. I am working with physical therapy again but I am able to stand now and walk short distances with a walker. Thank you Dr. Yoo

His staff is the problem. They clearly don't want to be bothered with their job. It was a couple of weeks to get an appointment. They misfiled my insurance, I caught and fixed that. At the last minute they want $2000, more than my deductible, up front, not negotiable. That should have been mentioned from the beginning. I got that together, they demanded even more up front. Wasted a month on that nonsense. If you have the time and funds to play with his office staff, he's probably very good.

Was treated by Dr. Yoo over a 3 year period. Had debilitating pain from lower back through leg and foot. Problem continued to worsen even after hip replacement (done in Toledo). Had MRI, injections, mylogrom and still said he didn't see anything tjat would cause this pain. Said he didn't want to perform surgery cause could do more harm than good. After EMG walked into room in street clothes said sorry can't help you. Saw Dr. in Maumee issued shown on MRI, operated 2 weeks later pain gone!

i thought Dr. Boo was very personable, treated me with caring respect. Especially, for the first visit. I thought he would want to do surgery, however, that was not the case, and I felt very relieved and hope to have the needed MRI and get some relief for the pain with physical therapy .
