She delayed my care, ignored concerns, and half of the time didn’t even refill prescriptions in time. I’ve never had a doctor consistently ignore concerns even when the pharmacist said she should be addressing it. Don’t try to get help from here. They are changing her ratings.

I am glad to read the other comments on Dr Bermas' manner - I've never felt so shaken after a doctor visit. I went to her because she helped a friend with RA, but I never saw anything even remotely helpful - in fact she gave actively harmful, unscientific superstitious advice and was prickly and hostile. Based on discussion of my symptoms (she wouldn't even open my summary of test results), she made up her mind and told me that my problem is that I'm "Type A" (that is a direct quote, bizarrely).

  • Appointment scheduling
  • Staff friendliness
What could be improved
  • Didn't listen or answer questions
  • Didn't explain conditions well
  • Appointment was rushed
  • Didn't trust the provider's decisions

I saw Dr Bermas years ago and am still frustrated with what was said to me at my appointment. I have been diagnosed with Lupus and Sjogren's Syndrome and went to her instead of my typical rheumatologist for a second option. I brought my husband so he could get a better understanding of my symptoms. She said my worsening fatigue was because I was a busy mom. I have been a busy mom and professional for ten years before coming to see her. It's was infuriating, minimizing and a waste of my time!

This was one of the worst doctors experiences I've ever had. I've been struggling with debilitating symptoms from an unknown condition for about a year now. Dr Bermas spent no more than 10 minutes with me. I told her how much I was affected by this fatigue and pain- she told me to do 45 minutes of aerobics a day (which is impossible in my condition) She then pushed a box of tissues towards me and told me that I should consider getting the mail an accomplishment. I'm 22 years old and still ill
