Attentive provider
Dr. Chiang attended to our newborn while we stayed at Chandler Regional after delivery. She was very approachable, kind and attentive to not only our newborn but also myself. She even showed us how to change diapers and honestly paid more attention to me than the hospitalist OB from my clinic. I am very thankful for her support and kindness. Like other reviewer mentioned, our newborn had a tongue tie too and this surprisingly doesn't seem to be a part of newborn assessment at the hospital. However, thankfully, the lactation consultant at the hospital did bring it up to us so we were able to quickly schedule the correction procedure shortly after our discharge from the hospital. I would agree that it should be a part of pediatrician assessment while at the hospital though.

Dr Chiang seems nice enough but I am very disappointed with her care of my newborn. My daughter was born with a tongue tie which Dr Chaing failed to recognize, when it took my pediatrician about 30 seconds to see it. My daughter lost 9% of her body weight bc of this prior to our discharge and she let us leave anyway. My daughter ended up losing 14% of her body weight before we saw our regular doctor and almost ended up hospitalized again. Had Dr Chiang done a minimum assessment of my daughter weeks and weeks of hardship to get her weight and all the stress and anxiety associated with that could have been avoided.

We received a bill for a service from her office, repeatedly tried to contact them to find out what the bill was for and never heard back. Instead she sent to collections. Thanks, Bonnie
