A Good Office and a Great Doctor
Over some months I have had some issues with my eye, and decided to see Dr. Dilman. Overall, my experience was great! The staff was very kind to me and answered all my questions. Rose (a technician) took great care in ensuring I was comfortable and aware of each step of a routine check up, (really was helpful in calming my nerves). When I saw Dr. Dilman, he did an amazing job explaining to me how my condition is stress related and really calmed my nerves. For weeks I was worried I had a serious underlying eye condition, but Dr. Dilman did a fantastic job at explaining to me why I was experiencing the symptoms I had, and some possible remedies. Overall 5 stars. Never had a doctor be so upfront, and truly explained to me an eye condition. I left the office with a big weight lifted off my shoulders and with a greater knowledge about my eyes. If you’re looking for a direct, respectful, and knowledgeable Doctor, I couldn’t recommend Dr. Dilman more.

Dr Dilman is a waste of time
Very bad experience. Dr Dilman was very rude. Went in for eye exams for the two of us.I had a tech do a partial exam. When we saw the doctor, just said had glaucoma and cataracts. If not taken care of could go blind. Did no eye exam. Told me I had cataracts. I asked about my lenses, he said I did not not need, it would be a waste of money. He never even did a full exam on either of us. Would not waste my time!!!!

not at all
My Husband had one cataract removed, turned out fine. Then he did the other eye and my husband vision was worse than before surgery. I went in for glaucoma check. He wouldn't tell me the extent of nerve damage. When I asked if we couldn't get my eye pressure below 20 he said 'don't worry about it I'll keep checking it, so it won't be a problem.' Then he starts measuring my eye for cataract surgery! I asked 'what are you doing?' He replied getting ready for your cataract surgery. Without any discussion about surgery. I said I see fine. Well you have cataract so since your husband is done with his we can do yours. Catarats are not ready for surgery and I'm not having it. We changed doctors; the new doctor said my cataract were not even near ready to be removed. He gave me medicine to lower pressure. It's now 16 most of the time. It has been over 8 yrs and I'm just needing cataract surgery! P.S. the new doc. was able to help my husband to see better from the second eye.

Rushed me through an appointment in 10 minutes after I waited to see him for an hour and a half. Told me I only needed eye drops and “maybe” no more contact use though I went in for blurred vision, gritty eyes and hadn’t worn contacts in a month. No suggestions on brand, another contact suggestion- nothing. The reason I was rushed out of my 10:15 am appointment? It was now noon and they were off to lunch.

BEWARE Rude, Unprofessional, Poor Advice
Horrible experience! Other negative reviews are consistent with my experience. Dilman is EXTREMELY condescending and rude. I felt like he was angry at me for even being in his office. He actually laughed at me and smirked saying he was NOT going to treat my condition without any explanation of why or even an explanation of what was going on with my eye. I went to another ophthalmologist for a second opinion and actually will need surgery for my issue and it's absolutely treatable. I felt very disrespected by him. I asked about drug interactions because I am breastfeeding and he said he couldn't give me antibiotics because of that, which is not true - he is either too lazy to look it up or uneducated. He asked if I had girls or boys and when I said girls and he laughed again and said sorry. Unbelievably unprofessional experience with a doctor. He should be nowhere near patients with his attitude.

Cataract Patients Beware!
Dr. Boris Dilman’s arrogant and sarcastic refusal to answer serious questions about the risk of complications was a very uncomfortable but revealing experience. He possessed what appeared to be a complete lack of empathy, and actually projected towards me what felt to be contempt. I have nothing but respect for dedicated healthcare professionals, but socially inept procedure salesmen scare me. With Dilman’s horrible attitude and refusal to share information, trusting him just feels too much like a game of Russian roulette. You have a right to understand the potential risks of cataract surgery-not just in general-but to your specific situation as well. Make sure to ask him questions-LOTS of questions. Do not be surprised if your efforts are rewarded with a bizarre display of professional insecurity. If your experience is anything like mine, I guarantee you will not be comfortable letting him put his scalpels and lasers anywhere near your precious eyesight.

Highly Recommend!
I have been seeing Dr. Dilman for the past few years for a somewhat unique medical condition. From the moment I walked into his office, I knew that I was in good hands. Dr. Dilman took the time to listen to my concerns, ask detailed questions about my symptoms, and provide me with a thorough examination. What impressed me the most about Dr. Dilman was his dedication to resolving my condition. He saw me on multiple occasions and followed up with me regularly to check on my progress. His attention to detail and willingness to go the extra mile to ensure that I received the best possible care was truly remarkable. Throughout the process, Dr. Dilman was incredibly patient and took the time to answer all of my questions. He explained my condition in a way that I could easily understand and provided me with all the information that I needed to make informed decisions about my treatment. Overall, I highly recommend Dr. Dilman to anyone who is looking for a compassionate and knowledgeable d

Dimisses concerns
DO NOT SEE DR. DILMAN. Dr. Dilman does not take the time to understand and address the patient's concerns. He gives ouright bad advice. His delay in referring me to a specialist has worsened my condition. My specialist says I could have retained more of my eyesight had she seen me sooner.

Poor bedside manner
Persisted with going to Dr. Dilman for several years. Wait times are long (1-2 hours on average). Spends hardly 5-7 mins. examining and communicating with the patient. Gives out very little information. The chart for the visit has a checkmark saying the findings were discussed with the patient, but there is not much discussion or sharing.

Find another doctor
I 100% agree with the 11/21/22 review here. During my time seeing Dr. Dilman, in my opinion, he had a very bad bedside manner. Very difficult to communicate with, at times disrespectful, I just could not get answers to questions, and inflexible. Very little information was shared with me from techs to doctor, even when asked. I want to save others from having this experience. I agree with the other review, find another doctor for you or your loved one.

Find another eye doctor/surgeon
His bedside manner is lacking and doesn’t communicate well with his patients. You wait sometimes for 2.5 hours before even seeing this guy. Then he spends 3.5 minutes with you. I know of 2 other people that have stopped going to this Dr. There are so many others in the area that do exactly what Dillman does. We found another ophthalmologist even closer to our home who is more experienced, easy to get along with and treats patients of all ages with respect.
