worst doctor ever encountered
Telehealth
He is the worst doctor I have ever encountered. From the very beginning, his attitude was extremely poor—he was visibly irritated and had no intention of listening to the patient’s concerns.Another doctor at NorthShore reviewed my MRI images and diagnosed a rotator cuff tear, determining that although it was not a subluxation, rehabilitation with a sports doctor was necessary. However, this doctor was impatient and dismissive. Even though I brought the MRI CD from my previous hospital, he did not look at it, nor did he read the previous doctor's report. Instead, he made his diagnosis solely based on an X-ray taken at group hospital and concluded that it was not a rotator cuff tear. I have no idea why others are giving him good reviews.

Worst experience I've had with a doctor in recent memory. No idea how he got as many good reviews as I've seen. He was completely dismissive of my complaints. I had knee pain for roughly a year before injuring my foot which left me using a knee scooter. My knee pain, of course, became exacerbated. He, however, said the scooter was causing my issues and 'if I got off the scooter, my knee would stop hurting'. When I asked him what to do since my knee WAS hurting, he said he didn't know because he's "not a pain doctor". He never manipulated my knee, never offered PT, never suggested a shot, nothing. He spent about 5 minutes with me and the written recommendation on my discharge paperwork was to get off the scooter. Thankfully, another doctor took me seriously and did the testing to find out I actually have a total loss of cartilage, among other issues, causing my significant knee pain, completely unrelated to my use of a scooter! He should be ashamed of the (lack of) care he provided me.

Worst Place to Go
Please i beg everyone not to go to see this doctor. The staff does not care about its patients in the least. No communication skills. I am looking to open a malpractice lawsuit. Anyone want to join?!

Exceptional!
I have seen Dr. Dunlap over the past 3-4 years. I am an addicted runner and I am loathe to give it up even with arthritic knees. Dr. Dunlap does a thorough exam and I never feel rushed. He has given me practical advice and never said “Stop running!” He understands the importance of quality of life and yet is very direct and honest. I trust Dr. Dunlap completely and I have been an APRN for over 40 years. I feel so fortunate to have Dr. Dunlap for my orthopedic care.

Saw Dr. DUNLAP for my L knee, chronic pain and a Baker's cyst. This was the initial visit and it lasted 15 minutes. He seemed disinterested the whole time. His exam was extremely short. In the end, he gave me, what I regard as, bad advice. I had to go to a different surgeon for treatment

I would highly recommend Dr. Dunalp if you need orthopedic advice and care. I have treated with him for a variety of sports related injuries, from relatively minor to a significant surgery. Dr. Dunlap has always been straightforward, generous with his time and certain to put together a plan that i am comfortable with to get me on the road to recovery, quickly and effectively. I have had great results with Dr. Dunlap over the past several years and I am not an easy patient to care for.
