Dr. Bradley Gerber, MD

Rude and Condescending. Waited an hour to be seen. 2 hours the first time.

Talked down to my father after he went for a consultation visit for joint pain. We’ve been visiting this office for years, but this was a breaking-point between the wait times and rudeness of the “professional” Dr. Gerber. He gloated about his salary from doing surgeries and used it as a justification as to why our opinion is baseless compared to his. Don’t even bother mentioning your pain, symptoms, etc., because he’s the doctor and he knows ALL. Doesn’t care to listen or show any humanity to patients, and only cares about what he thinks when making assessments. The wait times are bad enough, but to be treated like trash from a ‘renowned specialist’ like this is embarrassing. We have already switched offices for another consultation, with a FAR more positive experience like this. If you want to waste your entire day and get reprimanded by your doctor, schedule at this office!

When we first met with Dr. Gerber, he took time to listen to our concerns & answer all questions regarding a total hip replacement. Surgery was exactly as he described. The LIJ Valley Stream facility where the surgery was conducted was outstanding. The private room, the staff, food & care was exceptional. At the 2-week follow up visit with Dr. Gerber, he took time to listen & once again answer all of our questions. Our opinion is that Dr. Gerber is highly skilled & very affable. He made us feel very comfortable each time we met with him. The wait time during our scheduled appointment was minimal. We highly recommend him.

Dr. Gerber is arrogant and doesn't like to be questioned. When I was explaining my symptoms to him he said, "I don't have time for a long story." At one point, he told me to stop talking. I have since gone to another surgeon who listened to my concerns, and I have hip replacement surgery scheduled soon.

I had a hip replacement in 2009. I am still going strong. Dr. gerber is the best. He spends a lot of time with his patients, and has a great bedside manner.

Dr gerber has done done left and right hip replacement and just recently left and right knee replacement obviously I trust him and he didn’t let me down for all surgeries I have been a patient of his for 15 years he never pushed surgery on me and gave me alternate ways to treat my arthritis till I knew it was time to do surgery he always gave me time during visits to discuss things and his staff was always kind and professional especially his pa Stephanie if you’re in pain doctor gerber is the man to see!

My husband had a hip replacement Dec 2020 and we can’t say enough great things about Dr.Gerber. Everything went so smoothly. He was awesome with us. Explained everything! My husband is a new man and out of years of pain.

Excellent surgical care and follow-up by Dr. Gerber

Dr gerber did both my knee replacements and my right hip replacement. He is an excellent surgeon with a great bedside manner. He is very knowledgeable on new procedures and very patient. He always greets you with a smile and a handshake. My first knee replacement was very complicated and he operated with no problem. I would definitely recommend and have recommended him. He does not rush into surgery. And he does schedule patients for shots for the pain which he administers. Excellent dr. Can’t say enough about him

i have a relatively rare leg condition & was looking at surgical remedies to the pain— dr gerber was helpful in explaining what the steps were moreso than other doctors, and even provided me a referral to a specialist that could help. very kind & spent a lot of time with me in the exam room to help determine the best course of action.

I had a visit with Dr. Gerber today and I’m going to get a second opinion. When he walked into the room he called me “kiddo” , I’m a grown woman. He looked at the X-ray of my knee and told me my knee caps were “slanted” and that it’s normal for me and that “may” be the reason I’m having pain. He told me he didn’t want to do an MRI because he doesn’t think he’ll find anything. He told me to just wear a knee brace. Honestly I felt like he thought I was wasting his time. I’m a polite person so I didn’t push back but I should have. He made me feel like my pain was in my head. It doesn’t feel right so I’m going to get a second opinion. The unfortunate thing when booking with. Orlin and Cohen is that they don’t tell you which doctor you’ll be seeing until the day you show up. If I had known earlier I would have looked up these reviews!

I had knee replacement on 2/19/20 with Dr.Gerber and all I can say is that I feel great! I was so apprehensive & nervous about this procedure, but Dr. Gerber made me feel at ease throughout. I cannot thank him enough!

I just had knee replacement surgery with Dr Bradley Gerber. All I can say is, Dr Gerber is fantastic...he uses the most up to date technology.. I can’t talk enough about him..thank you Dr. Gerber I’m so thrilled with my surgery..

Excellent!!! Not quick to do surgery. Tries other modalities first. Good bedside manner.

I had TKR in 2015 I went to Dr. Gerber for almost 2 years complaining that my knee wasn’t right He made me feel like it was all in my head needles to say I went for other opinions and he didn’t place the knee replacement in properly so I had to have it redone by another doctor I can only say do you homework before you use any doctor I would have respected Dr. Gerber more if he would have told me the truth instead of making me feel like there was nothing wrong..

I do not recommend Dr. Gerber. He was not very personalable and he misdiagnosed me. Should have had surgery on my injury immediately , which I did not, making the injury more severe. I requested a follow up MRI after being on crutches for 2 months and then no activity for 3 months. After requesting an MRI myself, a nurse called me a week later and told me to stay off of it for another 3 months. Dr. Gerber never contacted me. Got another doctor and had surgery immediately. Very unsatisfied...

Second hip replacement by Dr Gerber. Great job on each hip (4 yrs apart). Answers your requisitions and acknowledges you concerns. Also, great personality.

Dr. Gerber is one of the rudest doctors I have ever encountered...he totally missed diagnosis which led to me having emergency surgery with another orthopedist one week later. Thank God I followed my instincts. Do not waste your time with this guy and his orthopedic factory.
