He’s better than the other psychiatrist I went to. Asks a lot of questions for about an hour or 45 mins. Very good. I wish he didn’t tell me what disorder I had because I didn’t have it and it’s hard for me to tell me him, because he doesn’t believe me. I really wish he did though. I can see he cares about his patients. I found someone else though. Possibly recommend lab tests to monitor for any changes from the drugs. I think he is fine, but I other than that the receptionist or his helper needs to do a better job and not have us wait 1-2 hours. Can’t tell if it’s him, the doctor doing this on purpose to get more appointments in or the person working there, the helper is bad.

I would not recommend this man to anyone. He is totally sadistic and unprofessional. After my horrible experience with him and the sadistic staff at Amita Saint Joseph, I not only feel more unstable but have less control over my stress and anger, since I was badly traumatized by him. He had my injection given in front of another patient, violated my patient rights and the HIPPA law, bullied me, and had many of my sessions publicly. This man should be sued for medical malpractice. Amita finding him charming is blatant embarrassment to the psychiatric unit.

Dr. Gordon asked me to describe how my depression manifests itself. One of the things that I said is "ideation", which is a symptom I've been dealing with for multiple decades. I told him that it wasn't actionable and that I didn't have any plans to go through with it, but it didn't matter. As soon as I mentioned the magic S-word, he refused to continue with our (first) session without me committing myself for up to four days. I tried to explain again that this was something I've been dealing with, and if it was urgent I wouldn't have waited three hours past our appointment (in a crowded waiting room full of people who weren't properly wearing their masks in a pandemic) after waiting three months for our scheduled appointment. He told me he "couldn't let me leave" and I made a break for it when he tried to lead me to the ER. I just needed a refill of my meds from my former, retired doctor, and my life is actively worse for having spent less than half-an-hour with this man.

Dr. Gordon was a bully to me. On his outtake interview he could not comprehend why gabapentin had made me suicidal and instead shamed me for my suicidal ideations and refused to believe me. He then continued to shame and bully me for not entirely trusting him. By reading his entirely subjective analysis out loud to me on my outtake, after only having interacted with me for a total of 40 minutes over the course of 5 days, i was paralyzed with anxiety and mistrust of the man.

I waiting in the waiting room for 2 hours before they finally called me in to see him. Psychiatrist? This man needs a psychiatrist. When I did finally get to speak with him, he rushed me so fast with the questionnaire, that he deleted his whole page. I don't believe in giving someone poor reviews unless they really deserve it oh, and he really deserved it. He was very obnoxious and rushed through everything

Dr. Gordon wakes me up at 11 pm after finally going to sleep and asks me to answer questions at that time. I was obviously half asleep and got caught up in a loophole where I was asked to voluntarily admit myself to the 4th floor psychiatric ward. I was then held hostage until Dr. Gordon finally found out that he is not an in-network physician as I had indicated from the very beginning. In addition, medications I stated I was already taking were never documented or given during that time.
