Dr. Bradley Koschel, DO

I took my son to the Dallas ER due to an inguinal lump causing intense pain and vomiting. Five days earlier, we had been to the ER, where an ultrasound showed nothing, and we were sent home thinking it was a swollen lymph node. However, this time, his symptoms were worse. Dr. Koschel was on duty, and after another inconclusive ultrasound, he wasn’t satisfied. He performed his own ultrasound, and when that also didn’t provide answers, he ordered a CT scan, which revealed a hernia with an obstruction. Dr. Koschel immediately sent us to Doernbecher Children’s Hospital by ambulance, where my son got the surgery he needed. Thanks to Dr. Koschel’s persistence and thoroughness, my son is healthy again. I am so grateful he went the extra mile and didn’t stop at the ultrasound. Thank you, Dr. Koschel!

I brought my daughter into Lower Umpqua ER for unbearable pain that stemmed from kidney stones. Dr. Koschel was the provider on duty. He was very sympathetic to her pain and was a very compassionate doctor. We honestly didn’t expect for her to leave the ER pain free. However, he saw to it that she did and prescribed what she needed to keep it that way until she was able to pass the stone. I couldn’t have been more grateful to him. Best experience we’ve had in any ER since living on the coast yet! Even though his shift was SO long and he was only able to catch a little shut eye in between incoming patients, he did not let his sleep deprivation affect his performance and integrity. THANK YOU Dr. Bradley Koschel!!!! You and your wonderful nurses Elle and Carol did such an amazing job tending to my daughter. Everyone on duty that helped us that evening were wonderful.
