A Blessing!
What can I say? I would never wish a stroke on my worst enemy! In my case, I just had come home with my friend, Kevin Sharp, from a shopping trip at Wal-Mart, carrieng a heavy bag of dog food, and it was lights out, I came to in a nursing home, and my friend was there, and I was feeling around my head, checking out the new plumbing on the side of my head, and Kevin, told me to stop playing with it, and explained to me my situation, after I had my stroke, how he called 911, and I ended up getting life-flighted to the Columbia University Hospital, and this amazing doctor cut my head open, and removed this blood clot, and installed the new plumbing to keep any future problems at bay. So, far, so good.. I am pretty happy with my life, and am thankful, I suffered no paralisis, I read that some patients can be affected in severe ways, and as far as I can tell my left foot tends to be a drop foot, and I have to watch it, or it can cause me to fall, other than that, so far so good!

I have seen Dr. French several times in the last 5 years; she is a very sweet woman. I like how she is so calm, speaks clearly, and speaks at an easy-to-digest pace. I feel very relaxed and comfortable in her presence, which means a lot to me. The staff are all friendly too - I especially like the nurses that come in to do vitals and such. They do a good job.
