Hip labrum tear
My 18 year old son recently had hip labrum surgery after track combined with football injuries. Dr. Beamer was exceptional in every sense of the word. His expertise and care put this worried mom’s heart to rest. My son recovered in record time because of the team of professionals that Dr Beamer lead. Blessed, indeed. And very grateful.

He saved my life!
I lived in pain for 2 years, not realizing I had taken myself out of my happy active life and traded it for a cranky life in pain where I had to gear up to endure any walking. I finally had enough and went on a hunt for an Orthopedist. I was not happy with the referral I got so I found Dr. Beamer on my own. His resume is as impressive as he is and I was not disappointed. Even though I am young we decided the best thing for me was a total hip replacement. I was leery about Marshall hospital, not withstanding the hour drive but I have to say it was an excellent experience! The anesthesiologist was very caring and detailed, the nurses & PT were amazing and educational and Dr. Beamer made me feel at ease even though I was nervous. He accomplished what so many Drs are challenged with and that is the perfect hip/ leg length. I am so grateful to Dr. Beamer and have recommended him to family & friends! He’s stuck with us for life!

Lack of communication.
I have no idea how good of a surgeon Dr. Beamer is. On the morning of my surgery I awoke feeling ill and with a very stuffy nose. I immediately called the hospital and cancelled my surgery. When I felt better I called Dr. Beamer’s office and left a message with the person who reschedules surgeries. Hearing nothing, I called again. Then again. The last time I called my call was blocked. I realized I’d been blacklisted. I would have liked to have had the same courtesy of communication that I’d provided. I was also taken aback by the receptionist’s negative remarks about having to hand out a state mandated questionnaire regarding gender pronouns and her disagreement that certain people are required to address others with the pronoun of their choice.

Dr. Beamer performed a hip replacement surgery for me. During the pre-operation period Dr. Beamer was very personable and professional. He took time to explain the entire process to me (including recovery) and made sure that I understood. He answered all questions in easily understood term and in a comprehensive manner. I never felt that he was hurrying through the office visits. The surgery went extremely well, I had total confidence in his ability. The follow up visits have been excellent, with all my questions answered. The replacement hip continues to function exceptionall well.

Dr. Beamer did an excellent job with my shoulder surgery. He and his staff, along with the hospital crew at Marshall, were extremely professional and took the time to explain the procedure and options. The procedure went extremely smoothly along with the healing and recovery process. I feel like I have a new shoulder. Thank you, Dr. Beamer!

Dr. Beamer did a total knee replacement for me in January of 2017. By June of 2017 I noticed that I was not improving with my therapy. Dr. Beamer took an x-ray and noticed that the implant had separated from the bone, and the cement had failed. I had a revision in Oct. 2017. Dr. Beamer consulted other orthopedic surgeons to find the best way to take care of me, and that was very impressive.

Dr. Beamer took the time to go over my MRI results showing me everything as he explained it. He was very understanding about my concerns as a runner. He needed to drain my knee and I knew it could be painful. I was astonished as I didn't have any pain at all. He has an outstanding resume of training and schools and I would recommend him and his friendly staff to anyone looking for an Orthopedic Surgeon.

I wanted anterior total hip replacement--no muscle cutting & less chance of dislocation. Dr. Beamer uses fluoroscopic imaging for correct placement & leg length . 6 weeks post surgery & no serious complications, infections or hip movement restrictions, and no staples (He uses flexible glue.) Great pain control. He is very concerned about preventing blood clots. I put my trust in Doctor Beamer's expertise and he didn't let me down. I highly recommend this knowledgeable and competent surgeon.

You won't find a more competent, compassionate, skilled orthopedic surgeon than Dr. Beamer! He repaired a torn rotator cuff in my shoulder, and six months later I am now able to perform daily tasks WITHOUT ANY PAIN for the first time in years. Dr. Beamer did an excellent job on my shoulder, called me that evening to check on me, gave me a video of the surgery with comments and explanations (which was absolutely fascinating to watch), and followed up with excellent care. 5+ STARS for Dr. Beamer!

In Dec 2016, Dr Beamer did a major rotator-cuff repair that included 3 fully-torn tendons (biceps, supraspinatus, subscapularis) : all done arthroscopically! I'm in my 70's, so had concerns about full recovery, but my range of motion & strength have progressed extremely well after 12 weeks. I'd read horror stories of rotator-cuff post-surgery pain lasting weeks, but was able to get off pain-killers in less than 3 days : I attribute this to his surgical precision. Unconditional thumbs-up!
