Dr. V is very knowledgeable, current with the latest and greatest, compassionate AND funny! I am very impressed with him and his staff. Just can’t say enough good things about him and the care he provides.

I had ESG with Dr Vanderwel on 2/10/20. Prior to the surgery, Dr Vanderwel took his time to answer all of my questions. He took the time to understand my goals and helped guide me to the right surgery. He has a very caring demeanor and thoroughly walked me through the entire process. Before the surgery, there was a ton of support from private Facebook groups of folks who have had the surgery to meeting with a nutritionist on a regular basis. The surgery was really easy. The staff there was really caring. They were incredibly efficient and I was in and out of the surgery center quickly. The followup was also excellent. The Eviva team followed up with me the day after surgery. I had very little pain after the surgery. The surgery was a success. I’ve lost a considerable amount of weight very quickly. The surgery is not a magic pill, but it is a great tool when combined with the support, diet, and exercise. I highly recommend Dr. Vanderwel.

I would absolutely recommend Dr. Vanderwel for the Endosleeve Procedure. I found him very capable and well trained. The procedure is well tolerated and highly effective. I applaud him for learning a new Procedure that is so beneficial for his patients struggling with weight loss.
