Busy but worth a few mins. wait. For me the best retina specialist. Knowledgeable, accurate, very patient oriented. Will go out of her way to make you comfortable, and answer questions. Went way out to save me money on new eye injection treatment. I am grateful to have her.

WORSE EXPERIENCE EVER!!!!!
THE WORST DOCTOR EVER! MY MOTHER WAS HER PATIENT FOR ALMOST A YEAR NOW, SHE HAS BEEN TREATING MY MOTHER WITH HER VISION. AFTER SEEING THIS DOCTOR FOR 8 MONTHS, NOTHING HAS CHANGED WITH MY MOTHER'S VISION BUT IT GOTTEN WORSE, BOTH EYES WE'RE GOOD WHEN SHE WENT TO SEE HER, NOW HER LEFT EYE IS SO BAD TO THE POINT WHERE SHE ISN'T ABLE TO SEE ANYTHING, AND HER LAST TREATMENT SHE DID, MY MOTHER'S RIGHT EYE NOW IS BAD WHERE HER VISION IS TERRIBLE. WE CALLED HER SEVERAL TIMES AS WE WE'RE CONCERNED ABOUT MY MOTHER BUT INSTEAD, HAD SEVERAL NURSE TELL'S US DIFFERENT THINGS ALL THE TIME. AFTER TAKIN MY MOTHER TO SEE ANOTHER OPTHALMOLOGIST, WE FOUND OUT SEVERAL PROBLEMS THAT WE WE'RE NOT TOLD ABOUT SINCE SHE WAS SEEING BY THIS SO CALL OPTHALMOLOGIST!SHE RUSHES MY MOTHERS APPOINTMENTS AND DOES NOT LISTEN TO ANY CONCERNS OR QUESTIONS WE WANT TO CLARIFY. MY FAMILY ARE VERY DISSAPPOINTED BY HER SERVICE, WE DO NOT RECOMMEND ANYONE WE KNOW TO GET SERVICE BY THIS DOCTOR. WHAT A BAD EXPERIENCE!!!

Worst clinic ever. Great Dr. But horrible staff and manager. They refused service for my grandma because she didn’t have the proper mask. Which they switched rules on and did not notify us. She was double masked per last rule. The manager kept lying that a voice mail was left. I showed her my phone no voicemail was left. She was really rude and said their nothing she can do.

I do not need to be spoken down to and yelled at by the office manager because I don’t understand why because I have Medicaid as a secondary insurance, I have to pay the bill I just received AND my commercial copay before they’ll even schedule a follow up. The office manager also advised me that Dr Myers-Powel said whether or not I continue to take the blood thinners I was put on was “up to me”. So unprofessional, rude and zero compassion. The office manager also had the nerve to speak loudly in the office about my issues with Medicaid, so no privacy or discretion was used. The office manager said she was backed by the provider, so shame on both of them for speaking down to ANYONE. I was told I wasn’t the only Medicaid patient they had to “deal with” in situations like these nd that the provider sees Medicaid patients here in America in place of going to developing countries so she can “give back” Uh huh and still making money, so do we owe you something for that? Just disgusting.

Since 2012 I have been to 4 retina specialists, each one was a negative experience. Third one I saw burned both of my EYES! Her staff did not rinse my eyes off enough to remove the iodine after an injection, and both of my eyes were burned so badly I could not work for two weeks! Not 1 of them explained, CORRECTLY, anything about my loss of vision in my left eye. Dr. Myers-Powell showed me the image of my eye and explained there were deposits of protein that may never go away!!! The Dr. who burned my eyes freaked out and loudly said I needed a CAT Scan of my head!! Dr. Myers-Powell has been extremely QUICK and efficient. I work as an assistant and I understand the need to be succinct with my questions (also helps to warn her ahead of time how many questions I have) and she has always been so good about answering. Not one of the previous Doctors ever answered that question CORRECTLY. They also kept me in their office from 1pm-6:30pm!! Dr. Myers-Powell finishes my visit in 20-90 mins.

I took my mom to an appointment today and Dr. Myers-Powell was noticeably rushed (more so than normal). I was told that she was on call and that is why she was in such a hurry. I realize that she is a very busy doctor, but I was very disappointed at the lack of attention and focus she had for us today. . We left feeling that we had been a bother and that her cell phone was more important that the patient in front of her.

Dr Myers Powell, in my opinion is the rockstar retinal care specialist around, and while a couple staff have personalities you need to get to know, they are all amiable and trying hard to make the patients comfortable. Dr Myers is saving my wife's vision and was very reassuring with my own.

Love the Doctor, but the office staff is intolerable, incompetent and rude. I am grateful we got to interact with the Doctor, but come prepared to write feverish notes and request clarifications before you leave. Her mind moves fast and she thinks out loud. From the directional notes on everything to the staff and the interactions with the off site billing and over the phone demeanor of the front desk scheduling, they can be a real problem. I would love to recommend the Doctor but I can’t encourage anyone to be subjected to the office staff or billing service.

I've been to many eye specialists, and had a number of procedures on both eyes. Dr. Myers-Powell's office is the most efficient functioning medical office I've ever been to. Her in depth examination, and her ability to explain what she saw in my eye gave me a clearer understanding of my eye issues. She identified and fixed a retinal detachment promptly. I am confident that my eyes are receiving excellent care with Dr. Myers-Powell.

I would recommend Dr Myers Powell to anyone in need of great eye care. She goes above and beyond in diagnosing and treating her patients. I was difficult to diagnose and she knew what my issues were immediately. She also knew which other Doctors I needed to see, in order to provide a whole patient care plan.

I brought my mother in for a visit and escorted her throughout the various exams. Dr. Myers-Powell was efficient and quick during the examination. However, during the visit we experienced a cold and less than friendly personality from this doctor. There were no salutations whatsoever, she jumped right in and was out the door once she was done. Rather than answering our questions directly, she handed a brochure and told us to read more about it there.

Dr. Myers-Powell is a good listener. She really hears what is being said. She found a retinal problem another retinal specialist had either missed or failed to mention. She has been very pro-active treating a difficult eye problem for another family member. Dr. Myers-Powell is very competent physician who stays current with the changes in medical care. She is business-like, but compassionate.

Not all doctors are willing to listen and treat patients who are 99+ years old. Or, if they do, they don't really try to improve one's quality of life. Dr. Meyers-Powell has always treated my Mother with kindness and respect. She understood that Mother did not want invasive tests. She explained, in detail, what tests and treatment she did think was necessary and she was able to treat a condition that several other doctors had given up on ( and didn't care). DR.MEYERS-POWELL CARES.

I went to Dr. Myers for a retina problem when two different retina specialists gave me the only option of a surgical procedure with about 40% recovery. Dr. Myers treated me with shots and laser and today I am able to read, drive at night without any problem. She is a very nice person, spends time with you to listen to your issues and also their excellent call back on the next morning to check your eye health after the treatment. I wish her all the luck and may God Bless her success in all h
