Poor Communication and Inconsistent
I've had several instances where they would refuse to renew my blood pressure medicine, and then check me after I've been off the meds, resulting in high BP readings and then pushing for increased doses or stronger meds. They don't seem to care about your health and their focus seems to be generating more and more office visits, which are never on-time.

Unresponsive and Lacking Patient Care
I had my blood work done by my OB-GYN and was diagnosed with a medical condition requiring attention. I promptly scheduled an appointment with this physician. She recommended a repeat blood test, which confirmed the same results. However, there was no follow-up from her or her office even after several days after the test. I left a voicemail to follow up and received no response. This lack of communication and care is deeply disappointing. It feels like patient well-being is not a priority. I cannot recommend her and urge others to consider this experience before seeking her care. It's concerning when professionals in the medical field show such indifference toward their patients.

Good doctor.
Dr Gerdelman is a very caring and good doctor. She listens and brings up good solutions to the problem. She remembers previous health problems that my husband had and always asks how he is doing. I have been with her for more than 10 years, am very happy with her care.

My experience with Dr. Gerdelman
My experience with Dr. Gerdelman has been very positive. In comparison to my previous experiences with doctors, I find that she is much more proactive, thorough and seems to be very dedicated to her profession. Test results are followed up on in a timely manner and it is comforting to know that her assistant actually knows me and has been with her since I first began seeing Dr. Gerdelman. HIghly recommend.

Not caring enough to help you
Dr. Gerdelman told me she didn’t have the time or staff to get the authorization needed for a medicine that could help my condition. Wow a doctor telling you she doesn’t have the time to help you. PITIFUL !

I have had 2 great appointments with Dr Gerdelman. I moved here recently and she was the only primary care doctor that I found who new about a rare condition that I have. She did a very complete initial visit with me, probably spending 30 minutes to get familiar with my extensive medical history.

Dr. Gerdelman ordered a $326.00 test for some illness I did not have nor any symptoms of having. She did not discuss it with me, just included it in my annual blood test. Medicare nor BCBS will pay for this test. I have contacted her office by phone 5 times, I have written her a letter and I have talked to and written a letter to the business office at Austin Diagnostic Steiner Ranch, asking for her to resubmit with a reason she felt the test was necessary. Bottom line, is zero assistance. I finally wrote a letter to Mr. Williamson at the Steiner Ranch location who says he is there to assist in such matters. NO ONE HAS EVER CALLED ME BACK. THIS ALL STARTED IN 2/2018. I have talked to various people, only because I kept calling until someone answered the phone. So, I am stuck for the payment. Obviously I am no longer her patient, and because of this total lack of concern on her part and everyone I have dealt with there, I do not recommend her.

I have been a patient of Dr. Gerdelman's for a few years now. She's brilliant in diagnosis and treatment planning and never fails in giving excellent care. She is kind and thorough and as good as it gets in family medicine. I am 72 years old with many complicated medical problems. She actually takes the time to discuss my case with my specialists to confirm my treatment when it's appropriate. She is five stars in every category.

This doctor fails to diagnose the strep throat. She does not know how to collect medical history and follow the standard of care. And most of all she just does not care about patient. She needs to go back to medical school.

The clinic she works at covers up her mistakes. She did not perform a proper medical exam or evaluation. She requests additional billable appointments that are not necessary.
