More Than A Decade
Kelly, Mary, Dr. Beson and the other staff are fantastic. I started our relationship around 2009. I respect Dr. Beson and trust his opinion, my only request would be to fully understand what I go through.

Best Neuro
Dr. Beson has been my Neuro for almost 4 years and dramatically changed the trajectory of my Neuromuscular disease for the better. I can’t say enough good things about him. He genuinely cares. He’s smart and practical. Down to earth. His staff is caring.

Dr. Beson was the first doctor that sat down with me and not only listened, but he wrote out my history on a big chalk board so he could get a timeline of my disease. He was so knowledgeable and friendly too. I would recommend him very highly!

I had a failed surgery that the Dr. who performed the surgery would not follow up with me. My condition continued to deteriorate to the point where I was having severe pain, numbness, a drop foot and difficulty walking. I was able to get a referral to see Dr. Beson and my first point of contact with his office was Kelly his assistant. She was very professional, sweet, and helpful. Dr. Beson was exceedingly kind, compassionate, and caring. He really listened to me and cared about what I had to say and what I was going through. He was very thorough in his examination and took the time to make sure that I had all my questions and concerns addressed. Once all my tests were completed, and his diagnosis was made, he established that I needed surgery again and he referred me to an excellent surgeon. Thankfully, Dr. Beson is a doctor that listens to his patients, but he is also straight forward, and tells it like it is, but with compassion, and that is important as well. I would highly recommend him.

I had a horrible experience with Dr Beason. I have a genetic test showing 3 VUS mutations associated with CMT, a grandmother and uncle who are diagnosed and a nerve and muscle test showing I am losing muscle. Dr Beason comes in the room, tests my reflexes then says "Great news!! You don't have CMT!" I tried to ask questions, there are many subtypes that are associated with hyperfexia. He kept mentioning that he has CMT, which okay but I'm not sure what that has to do with anything. He honestly just seemed pissed that I wasn't ecstatic at this news. I needed some answers and he wasn't willing to engage with me at all. On my way out he lifted up his pants to show me his leg braves and said "at least you don't have to live with it" it blew my mind that a doctor would say that to a patient who is also dealing with muscle loss. My Neurologist was floored when I told her, she was like "well we can't just ignore the facts". Please find yourself a different doctor, one that care

I have a rare neuromuscular disease that has been a challenge to treat. I found Dr. Beson after a year of being in and out of ICU and off and on a ventilator and was desperate for help. I absolutely love Dr. Beson. He listens to me and works with me on managing my symptoms, gets me in quickly when I need it, and personally calls me back the same day when I call. After the year I had prior to meeting Dr. Beson, I came in terrified and cautious and he and his staff have been amazing to me. I doubt he's perfect....I came in late once to an early appointment and maybe he was annoyed by that or maybe he was having a rough morning.....but he wasn't as sweet and was a little short...lol..but he later apologized. I feel like we have a great working patient/doctor relationship. He really is a great person. I feel quite lucky/blessed to have found him. I know he cares, I know he's highly qualified, I know he listens, and demonstrates great care for me as his patient. His staff is also amazing.

My father was treated by Dr. Beson and I was very disappointed at what he did not do for my father. My father was seeing him for his gait, balance and cognitive issues. I went with my dad and we asked Dr. Beson if dad’s issues could be due to Normal Pressure Hydrocephalus. He seemed to blow that idea off and just said dad had balance and cognitive issues which happen with older people. He told him that it could be the onset of dementia and he just needed to use a walker for the balance problem. Pretty much he just wrote him off as an old man. I was able to find my dad a wonderful neurosurgeon in Dallas and he was treated for NPH with a shunt surgery and it has changed my dad’s life!! Balance is back and he’s walking much better. Thank God for a doctor who listened to us. My dad is back!!

I was referred to Dr Brent Beson office personally by my doctor whose wife is currently a patient of Dr Beson. In my 50 plus years of working with and along side of doctors I have never been treated as rudely, unprofessional, and with no care and respect at all as dealing with this Dr and his staff. His website says how he is committed to helping people and learned from his mother as a nurse....... please find another doctor and office who truly respect the Hippocratic Oath and are caring!
