Dr. Wanamaker saved me from open heart surgery. I was at VA Ann arbor he was on the team and he performed 2 different procedures on me my heart 1st was at VA 2nd at U of M . I was a high risk patient, yet in the 2nd procedure he went beyond the plan and it worked. I had my post op echo at VA Miami, Fl and today I found out that my heart function improved to 44,% which is a miracle. I have not used nitroglycerin at all since procedure, and am walking a mile, climbing flights of stairs (Not Winded.). Thank you Dr. Wanamaker so much you gave me back my life,. I have returned to Miami but it is so important you know the information you gave me has made me more determined to be proactive in my medical treatment and in the care of my heart. There are No words to express my gratitude for your hard dedicated work. Thank You, a million times over.

I met Dr. Wanamaker at U of M hospital, where I spent 10 days in cardiac ICU. Dr. Wanamaker, an experienced cardiologist was investing his life in 8 or 10 young residents and a couple in fellowship. Every day Dr. Wanamaker would lead the residence into my room, so they could check me out before and after surgery. It was a real inspiration watching Dr. Wanamaker lead these younger doctors in sort of a mentor capacity. Dr. Wanamaker was friendly, kind, concerned, and I loved talking with him. He is the type of person who explains things in a way you understand, and you feel you can really trust this man. I’m grateful to know him.
