Dr. Blair is attentive, knowledgeable and is an experienced professional dedicated to providing appropriate treatment for his patients. If you are a patient who needs to talk a lot in order to validate your condition you might want to select another physician as Dr. Blair is all business and sees multiple patients daily and unfortunately his schedule doesn’t allow for chit chat. He has resolved my knee pain and has improved the quality of my life.

If you like McDonald’s
If you like going to McDonald’s then you will love OrthSC. I’ve had over 30 surgeries on my joints and extremely experienced in dealing with doctors and practices of all shapes and sizes. I was in dire need of injections contacted OrthSC and was able to get in and get the shots that I needed. If I was an inexperienced patient or one who was easily maneuvered by staff and doctors I would not have been very happy. The main goal at OrthSC is to get as many people in and out the door as fast as possible, while having them spend maximum loot. This is definitely not an old time mom and pop Doctor’s office where someone may even remember your name. They don’t even pretend to care otherwise. So take all that into consideration for when you make your decision. I am sure there are many folks who think OrthSC is wonderful and bless your heart. Dr. Blair lacks bedside manner. But he is better than Mikol who is the only doctor I’ve fired on the spot in my 77 years. Rude, arrogant and dismissive.

Lacks bedside manner
Blair does not speak to his patient. It was like pulling teeth to get him to talk prior to my injection. Gave no info after receiving shot. Was the weirdest visit. I prefer a professional Dr. who communicates. I didn't know if I had restraints, limitations, etc. Felt like a random customer in line at the deli. So bizarre. Will seek a different shoulder Dr. in future.

Only for Replacement Needs
Dr Blair is a wonderful surgeon but I would not recommend seeing him until you are ready for joint replacement. My visit with him was very rushed. He did not introduce himself, ask about my joint history or pain, talk about options for treatment, and he walked out the door as I was talking to him. He gave me a steroid injection but never asked if that is what I wanted, nor did he explain what he was doing. He did not provide any education and did not allow time for questions. I was extremely disheartened, though I will say the office staff was very nice and professional. If you are interested in conservative treatments and to be educated about options for future joint care, I would start with another physician.

Fantastic experience from day 1
Doc was straight with me from day one. I knew my shoulder was in terrible shape from previous surgeries. He told me I would know when it was time to replace it , he was right! 22 days post shoulder replacement I have less pain , greater range of motion then I've had in 15 years. After forty years of living with a bad shoulder I couldn't be happier with my new one. Dr Blair and his staff have changed my quality of life. He is an excellent surgeon that also cares for his patients! Thank you for giving me a pain-free working arm!

Knee replacement,
Had a knee placement in 2020. I was told that I would be up and walking within six months. Six months came and went by and went back and was told I would be good within a year. That came and went and now I am two years into it and I have a permanent limp, and my knee still hurts me every day. Not very impressed with the results

I'm new to the area.I was unsure what to expect .I have had three surgeries on my knee. And due to a serious accident I have had 10 other orthopedic surgeries I have had some amazing doctors. They saved my quality of life . Dr Blair took no medical history from me and didn't examine me .He walked in said I had arthritis. Gave me a cortisone shot. Never asked where I was feeling the most pain.I have an appointment with Dr Blair soon If we can't communicate better .I think I will move on.

Dr. Blair replaced both of my knees, the right knee in Oct 2020, and the left knee in Mar 2021. He is an excellent doctor, and I had no problems at all with both surgeries. He explains every thing in detail and makes sure you understand what he is going to do. I would strongly recommend him to all my family and friends.

I had a knee scope this morning. Once the nurses had me ready, Dr. Blair walked in and started marking my knee. He said not one word to me until I said “Good morning” to him. He mumbled “Good Morning” on his way out. He gave me no explanation as to what he was going to do or what to expect after. A nurse handed me instructions and a prescription as I was being dismissed. I have no idea if I have sutures or staples; no idea if I have a pain block that will wear off tonight. My granddaughter was my driver. Dr. Blair didn’t even give the courtesy of talking with her or with me to explain anything. I know it was a minor procedure for a torn meniscus, but patients expect a little more when they intrust an important part of their body to a doctor while the patient is totally in their hands. I called his office this afternoon with a couple of questions. Haven’t received a call back. I see his PA for a follow up in two weeks and that will be my last association with Dr. Blair.

i was so happy today, first ,Dr. Blair addressed my husbands acute issue( 2 huge syringes of fluid from his Gout riddled knee),which he quickly diagnosed! Secondly he does a very innovative procedure that i have spent the last year reaching, PRP!! Using your own Plasma to help restore some health and mobility back to the knee!! People tend to forget Dr.s are human and as much as we would like to think, the human body is not an exact Science

I was having so much pain in my knee that I was having difficulty walking. My Primary Care MD set me up a referral with Dr. Blair. After reviewing my X-Rays with me he offered several treatment options. He was kind, polite and caring to me and answered my questions. I will recommend Dr. Blair without hesitation.

I would advise anyone who is suffering and in pain with a shoulder to seek another doctor. I was scheduled for surgery back in February and he keeps taking me off his schedule. Still no help from him. Feel sure that this is because of my insurance as it is an advantage plan and may not pay as good as some. He doesn’t care about the pain I am in and helping me. Just the money he will get paid. So he has won as I now have to find another doctor to help me. Thank you Dr. Blair for your help

Went to see Dr Blair for shoulder pain he gave me an injection in my shoulder and told to come back if problems. I did have continuing problems, He looked at my x-ray and said I need a total shoulder replacement. I went and had two other surgeons look at my x-ray and both said you do not need a shoulder replacement. I had the surgery from one of the Doctors and I am fine today full motion. Doctors are a business without patients and surgeries they have no business. be careful with Dr. Blair,
