DR. BRIAN HUNTER THE BEST
My experience with Dr. Hunter was A+. He is very professional, and patient. He explained everything in detail, was not hurried was very caring. My surgeries were 100% and I opted to pay for corrective lenses. WHAT A WONDERERFUL EXPERIENCE!! I'll tell all I know to friends to be sure and use him. His office is easy to find and the surgery dept. right there!! And he is board certified!

Dr. Hunter preformed cataract surgery on both my eyes which was PERFECT! From our first meeting to my last postop visit, he never seemed hurried, patiently explaining everything which gave me an overall feeling of complete confidence on the outcome of the surgeries. I give him our highest recommendations!

Dr. Hunter is a really great doctor -- my primary care doctor even goes to him. However, the office policies are terrible. They charge extra for the vision exam (that took 5 minutes from a surly tech) because insurance doesn't cover that as an extra cost. Of course not! An eye exam is SUPPOSED to check your vision, too! They have add-on charges without advance warning/explanation on top of your normal copay. The first time I saw Dr. Hunter, the wait was under 20 minutes. Last month, I waited about 2 hours in the various waiting rooms. Sorry, looking elsewhere now.

I had a prescription from Dr. Hunter over 4 days to get resolved from his staff. His staff was not helpful during this whole process. Had to go in person to get this resolved. The admitting nurse was also rude. Will not be coming back here again.

Like many people, I was terrified of having cataract surgery. It wasn't until I could not see my way around an airport with my glasses and I had a second fast-growing cataract in one eye that I realized I had to go through with it. I consulted with Dr. Hunter, and he inspired confidence, explaining the procedure carefully and telling me of the many hundreds of procedures he had done. And he delivered beautifully. I had very little discomfort and no light sensitivity, and I watched with delight as my new vision (including intense color perception) appeared. After a lifetime of extreme nearsightedness and astigmatism, I am free of glasses and contacts, except for glasses for night driving. Dr. Hunter really cares deeply about helping people restore their vision, and is kind, warm and compassionate. Thank you, Dr. Hunter!

Dr. Brian Hunter recently performed mono lenses cataract surgery on my eyes. I have never written a physician review before but couldn't pass up the opportunity to express how confident I felt with him doing my surgery. He is compassionate, kind, friendly and extremely competent. He explained the procedure and every concern of mine was answered. It was fantastic to have immediate positive results without pain or discomfort. Thank you, Dr. Hunter, for giving me the gift of sight after may years of contacts and glasses.

Dr. Hunter removed a nodule from my eye and then removed a cataract. He kept telling me that it would take time for my vision to improve. I kept going back in hopes that he would make either replace the lens or do a “piggyback”. He had said that the lens he put in was not right. I really expected 20/20. The last visit he said he would recommend a PK. I was going to get set up to have it done, but my insurance does not cover it. So... I am disappointed. He was always very nice, but I am stuck, now. I guess I will go to someone else for my other eye.

I initially met Dr. Hunter for my pre-op cataract surgery appointment. After a thorough and detailed examination Dr. Hunter then calmly and comprehensively explained all the details of the surgery. Dr. Hunter explained it in a very caring manner to both my wife and I and then proceeded to allow us both to ask our questions. Dr. Hunter displayed much compassion in answering all our questions in a very “down to earth” manner. That left us with an incredible sense of trust in him and calmed me completely from any fears that I had concerning the upcoming operation. Then prior to the actual surgery, while I was waiting in the pre-op surgery room Dr. Hunter visited with me and instilled me with a total sense of calm and trust. During the entire fifteen minutes of surgery Dr. Hunter consistently spoke to me directly offering kind words and telling me about each stage of the surgery. It was a wonderful and highly caring experience that I will never forget. Thank you very much Doctor Hunter!

I just had cataract surgery on each eye. I have been extremely nervous sighted since birth and I now can see 20/20. My extreme astigmatism and cataracts were removed by Dr Hunter. He is very informative, professional and friendly to talk to. I highly recommend him.

Couldn’t be more pleased with the outcome of cataract surgery performed by Dr. Hunter. I had lasik surgery 20 years ago and was hoping for the same excellent post surgery vision after cataract removal. The results are outstanding! Dr. Hunter and the team at Fishkind, Bakewell, Maltzman and Hunter are excellent, caring professionals. Their attention to detail and thorough explanations made my surgeries anxiety free.

Really wish I could leave more than 5 stars. As Dr. Hunter did my cataract surgery and he was very excellent caring compassionate doctor. And gave my sight back to me .I have referred several friends to him for his services and will continue. I highly recommend dr. Hunter as he doesn't brush off your concerns or pass you on to other doctors when he can take care of your issues. He takes time to listen to his patients.

Dr Hunter is very good at diagnoses, treatment plans his staff is absolutely horrible. I have seen him 3 times and twice was told I either had the wrong office or wrong date. I brought my appointment card with me to confirm that I was correct, they still argued with me. I have worked in the medical field for 40 years and know how to treat patients. Also be forewarned, twice I had refractions which I had to pay out of pocket $55. They billed my insurance AND collected it from BC!!!!
