Shoulder surgery
Dr. Johnson is a great surgeon that I highly recommend. He’s not cocky or arrogant, just a genuinely good man who wants to help people live their best life. He listened to me and consulted me on my decision to have surgery on my shoulder rather than just telling me what to do. I’ve had two shots in my shoulders within two years and when it started hurting again, I decided just to get my shoulder fixed so I didn’t have to deal with pain anymore. He came highly recommended to me, so I flew to Sioux Falls from Utah to have the surgery done because I didn’t just want to go to anyone… I wanted to go to someone who knew what they were doing. The whole experience was really great front to back. After the surgery, he went over what he did. He was very thorough in fixing and cleaning up my shoulder (there were other things he fixed during the surgery that we didn’t discuss prior). I was very grateful to him for that. Overall, really humble and his staff is also top notch and super friendly!

Shoulder pain
I wouldn’t recommend him he called me a liar after I came back form my first appointment in more pain than what I start with . He just keep calling me a liar and told me he couldn’t do anything and I’m still have problems a year later . I have spent a lot of money going to chiropractor appointments to just try to get though . I finally have a new specialist to see next week who can hopefully help me .

Total Reverse Shoulder Replacement
Wait time at each appointment was minimal, on-time or less than 10 minutes past my scheduled appointments. Dr. Johnson and his assistants immediately put me at ease, explained everything throughly, explained limitations following surgery (range of motion), taking time to answer my questions, without ever making me feel rushed. Beyond his considerable skills as a surgeon, Dr. Johnson is the most caring doctor I've ever had - we are truly blessed to have him here in Siouxland. He takes the time to personally call all his patients after surgery - unexpected, but much appreciated when I got that call. I am beyond pleased with the results - within three weeks of surgery, following Dr Johnson's and the physical therapist's exercises, my range of motion was much better than expected, with little to no pain. Six months out, I am so glad I went through the surgery, I'm pain-free, gaining strength daily and ready to get on with my active life. Thank you, Dr. Johnson - you are the best!

Dr Johnson was great to work with. I delayed surgery until I was truly ready and he put me at ease. Everything went very well and I have recovered nicely. I am ready for the next knee and scheduled it yesterday.

Excellent Care Excellent Surgeon Excellent Staff
I had rotator cuff repair just over a year ago. Dr. Brian Johnson and his PA Ashton Redstone were exceptional care providers throughout the whole process of getting my left shoulder repaired and back to full strength. My surgery was at the Dunes Surgical Center and they too provided exceptional care. My post surgical physical therapy was done at CNOS on Sunnybrook and again I was very pleased with their staff and my progress back to full use of that arm. Honestly the whole process went very smoothly and I couldn’t be any more pleased with the process and the outcome. So pleased in fact I expect to be back to see Dr. Johnson and his staff to deal with my other shoulder, which will required a reverse shoulder replacement.

Best decision ever!
Dr. Johnson has been a lifesaver. Both my shoulders needed reversal replacement. Doctor explained in depth what would happen. First he did my right shoulder. I experienced no pain after surgery, and my range of motion, after therapy, was excellent and NO PAIN. He just recently did my left and it was, again, now pain free. Doctor Johnson takes the time to thoroughly explain all that is need and all that he will do. Trust in him as I have!!
