This was our first visit with Dr. Brian Kaufman, he explained everything clearly, answered all our questions, we were very pleased! The entire staff was helpful and friendly, everything was excellent!

He made sure we understood options while being caring to our family and our concerns. He was friendly and made us feel at ease.

Took my daughter for a follow up appointment because of a concern she had.He is always so excited to see her and her progress, gives great information and helps ease her concerns, and loves to see videos & photos of her in sports. We couldn’t have asked for a better surgeon for our daughter’s biggest surgery. Him, his staff & team have been so gracious and helpful to us & we recommend him to everyone we know. Thanks!

Dr, Kaufman is amazing. My daughter had pretty sever scoliosis. It was so bothersome to her. She disliked her appearance and lived in baggy clothes, mainly hoodies. She decided to wear halo traction for a month before surgery then had her Spinal fusion surgery at the end of the month. Her outcome is amazing. Her back is so straight and she gained nearly 3 inches. She is still healing but now she is wearing fitted shirts and is completely comfortable in her new skin. Thanks Dr. Kaufman. I highly recommend Dr.Kaufman for scoliosis regardless the degree. He does what is best for the patient and his outcome at least for my daughter was truly amazing!

Answered all my questions, very upbeat and great personality

My daughter had fractured her foot. Dr. Kaufman was patient in his explanation of her injury and what she could and could not do. She wore a boot until she felt she could go without it and to used her own judgement. He said no need for follow up appointment unless we felt it was warranted. Will definitely use him for future injuries if they occur.

Dr Kaufman is the best. After receiving a diagnosis of Scholiosis for our son, we researched the Central Texas area for the top-rated Dr. Dr Kaufman is it! He spent so much time with us at our consultation, explaining surgery and recovery. He is kind, smart and genuinely concerned with ours son's body and spirit. We know that our son is in the right hands.

My husband and I both work in Healthcare and pick our physicians with great care and research. Dr. Kaufman was recommended by multiple people, had great on line reviews and the staff at DCMC love him. Our son has seen Dr. Kaufman for scoliosis since he was 12. He is now 15 and is lucky to be in the group of kids who will not need surgery (so far) on his spine. It was important that we did not have a physician that rushed one to surgery. That we had someone who could communicate calmly with our son with warmth and compassion. Dr. Kaufman exceeded our expectations and we would highly recommend him.

My son is on the spectrum. His spine was "S" shaped and causing many medical problems. We were referred to Dr. Kaufman for a second opinion. Thank goodness we went and saw him. Dr. Kaufman saved my sons life. I'm so grateful for everything that he's done. My sons spine is now straight and things are slowly but surly getting better.

We have been coming to Dr. Kauffman since our daughter was diagnosed with infantile scoliosis at age 3. After 4 surgeries and follow ups, our daughter’s back is medically straight. The entire staff at CPTO is amazing. We love Dr. Kauffman, he is patient, knowledgeable, professional and always answers questions. His nurse Jessica is amazing as well.

From the call into the office for an appointment...until we checked out after our appointment.... The office staff was phenomenal. Dr Kaufamn was excellent at speaking with me and my daughter and teaching while explaining what we needed to know. The hour drive home was full of comments like...'wow the nurse was so nice...and Dr Kaufman really knows what he's talking about.... and the lady at the front desk was very helpful" It was an overall great encounter

I was diagnosed with scoliosis my freshman of high school. Throughout my entire journey leading up to my surgery, Dr. Kaufman and his team were extremely kind, caring, and encouraging. The hospital definitely made my stay feel like a home away from home. My surgery was extremely successful and I was fully released 3 months after my spinal fusion surgery. I’m now going into my freshman year in college and I have never had any complications dealing with my back. By far, the most trustworthy people I have ever met! Not a day goes by that I’m not thankful for the doctors, nurses, and hospital staff.

Fantastic manner, explained everything thoroughly

We moved from Lubbock and decided to find a specialist where we now live. It was a tough decision, but I'm glad it was made. The visit was easy, he was very professional and easy to talk to. He talked directly to my daughter and asked her the questions. Offered suggestions to ease my mind as a mother and a nurse. Highly recommend Dr. Kaufman

Dr. Kaufman was referred to us by my daughter's neurologist. She had a very high opinion of him and she couldn't have been more right. Dr. Kaufman performed a spinal fusion surgery on my 12 year old special needs daughter. She had a very complicated medical history. I truly felt like a really listened to everything I had to say and he answered all of my questions. I never felt rushed during any of our appointments. That happens frequently especially when you have a complicated child and a lot of information to give and a lot of questions to ask. I was instantly at ease and I did not even feel the need to get a second opinion. I trusted his judgment and he made me feel good about my choice to go forward with the surgery. We did have some complications just as I expected but it had nothing to do with his abilities as a surgeon. She is recovering beautifully. Better than I could have ever hoped for. I am so happy that we chose him as a surgeon. I couldn't recommend him more highly.

Dr. Kaufman performed a full spinal fusion on my 11 year old special needs daughter. Without question, he is a highly skilled surgeon. Beyond his medical skills he has the best bedside manner of any doctor with whom I’ve worked. He’s kind, compassionate, patient, supportive, and understanding. He made himself and his support staff available to answer all our questions. He explained things in easy to understand manner. You and your family are in exception hands with Dr. Kaufman!
