Look elsewhere for real care
I’ve been seeing Dr. Kirby for a few years, but his level of care has declined. He used to be attentive but now he barely makes eye contact, dismisses my concerns, and blames everything on my age (53) instead of actually listening. Because of my age, I’m a low maintenance patient– I can’t imagine what it would be like for someone with more complex needs. I’ve had to take my recent concerns to my primary doctor because he refuses to address them. He’s very condescending. If you have real concerns, choose someone else.

I would highly recommend Dr. Kirby !
The MA was very nice and pleasant . Dr. Kirby spent time reading my health history , asked me questions , listened to me and was very pleasant and kind. He discussed my plan of care in depth. I was very pleased with him as my doctor !The check in person at front desk was quiet and not very welcoming but kind. It would help if she would smile and make patients feel welcomed as she is the first one you meet and represents the first impression of the practice .

Horrible Rheumatologist
I wouldn’t recommend Dr. Kirby to anyone.Unfortunately, I saw him as my first rheumatologist. I felt dismissed from the start of the first appointment, when he didn’t seem interested in hearing about my symptoms and like he had somewhere else he wanted to be. It seemed like I was a burden to him for needing answers. It was traumatic to experience the beginning phases of a disease involving chronic pain, fatigue, inflammation, anxiety etc and have a doctor like Kirby that doesn’t seem to show empathy or concern.Needless to say, I saw another rheumatologist and was attended to and diagnosed in the course of months. It’s by far worth the wait to see someone who truly listens.

Horrible appointment
Dr. Kirby came into the room very rushed, spent maybe 5 minutes with me, didn’t let me speak, interrupted me repeatedly, and I felt I was inconveniencing him or bothering him just by being there. He was very dismissive of me and I left my appt feeling very defeated and dismissed. If you have the option please go to someone else.

No Time
I had to start using him after my Dr left town. He barely spends 5 minutes with me and made me feel embarrassed for even asking him questions. His medical assistant refuses to call back and it takes weeks of messages to get refills etc.

One of the kindest..most compassionate and through specialists I've ever had. He took alot of time with me listening to my symptoms and following with tests to find out the root of my complaints. I will reccomend him to all my family and friends..I already have!

I began going to Dr Kirby after my first and awful experience with another Rheumatologist. I have been with Dr. Kirby for more than a year and my quality of life is 110% improved! Dr Kirby changed my treatment plan, changed medications and I have my quality of life back. If you are looking for a true healer who listens and actually has a two way conversation with you and actually cares enough to monitor your progress, don't choose your Physician until you talk to Dr. Kirby!

He is timely, he does not keep you waiting. He is very analytical, explores with you the various options. He listens to your side of the story. He discusses the blood work results with you and tells you what they indicate. I would not hesitate to highly recommend him.
