Dr. Brian Lipton, MD

While visiting AZ I required an emergency surgery. Dr. Lipton took my case (on his day off and after normal business hours). He thoroughly explained the process and risks and answered all of my questions.

Not only did Dr Lipton do my husband’s incisional hernia repair surgery a few years ago, he also did his emergency appendectomy yesterday. We specifically requested him in the emergency room and he was in the hospital and was able to fit us in. He stayed later than he was scheduled to accommodate us. He has a wonderful bed side manor and took the time to explain everything and answer questions. He told us that he has done over 5000 appendectomies and we felt comfortable in his experienced hands. Thank you Dr Lipton!

Dr. Lipton performed emergency surgery to repair my hernia. I was scared and in a lot of pain when I arrived at the E.R. When he spoke with me, I immediately got the sense he cared about me. His demeanor was calm and down to earth. I was so fortunate to have him as my surgeon. I trust him implicitly. I highly recommend Dr. Lipton for his compassion, professionalism and exemplary work. My hernia is gone and I'm so relieved!

I had a hernia surgery. Dr Lipton was amazing, he explained everything I asked about. The surgery was flawless and I barely had any pain in the incision site afterwards. I did not need to use the stronger pain medication I was prescribed. I had more pain in the jaw, which was due to the anesthesiologist putting the breathing tube who knows how. I pretty much only took advil because of my jaw and not the actual hernia surgery. The hospital itself could do things better. I was sent out too quickly from the hospital, barely even awake from the anesthesia. It depends who you get as a nurse there I guess. Post operative care was excellent as well. I would highly recommend Dr. Lipton for hernia surgeries.

Dr. Lipton performed surgery on a head mass and arm.Both Dr. Lipton and his staff as well as the surgical team were exemplary. My card was excellent by everyone I came in contact with. Everyone out me at ease immediately and treated me with care,respect and kept me informed at all times.. I would definitely recommend Dr. Lipton..

Honestly my experience was horrible. I don’t know the Dr I’m reading about here on these reviews because that was not my experience. In the preop area he stood at the Nurses desk nervously stomping one foot on top of the his other foot. He barely spoke to me. He said I could go back to work in 3 days. The incision developed a wound that he wouldn’t treat for two weeks. I felt that wasn’t right. A wound specialist saw it and began treatment immediately. It took over two months of treatments to heal. But he said don’t touch it. Terrible post surgery care. I have evidence he caused the healing complications and of course refused to treat the complication. Would not recommend.

Dr. B. Lipton is an amazing surgeon. I recently was suffering from a strangulated hernia and was is severe pain. Dr Lipton preformed the surgery and was very professional in explaining the surgery and post surgery expectations. I am very grateful to him for assisting me with this problem. He truly has given me my life back and returned me to my formal self. He and his office staff were absolutely fabulous in there care and help. I would absolutely recommend Dr. Lipton and his staff for any surgery. I really cannot thank him enough.

Dr. Lipton was so understanding to my illness. I was treated so professional and was given and explanation I could totally understand. I did have gallbladder surgery and went great no issues at all. The recovery and follow up went just as expected too. I would recommend Dr. Lipton !!

I can't say enough good things about doctor Lipton. He's very knowledgeable and confident yet humble and personable. He came highly recommended by my spinal surgeon and is respected throughout the medical community. My surgery went smooth and as expected and he made me feel very comfortable throughout the entire process. His after care is second to none. He's very thorough and will manage your care until you're completely healed and healthy. His staff is friendly and knowledgeable as well.

One of the few doctors iv'e ever encountered that spent the time talking to me about what the problem was and how it would be solved. Dr. Lipton is an excellent surgeon, i had the utmost confidence that i was in good hands prior to my surgery. It all turned out good. Highly recommend.

I'm not sure why some did not like Dr. Lipton,maybe b/c he has a laid back attitude,which some may not care for. My husband went to him for a large skin cancer growth. I wish more doctors were like him. He was so approachable,took his time with us,answered all questions,and was very reassuring,and even funny and upbeat. He was wonderful!! Like I said,more doctors should take notes on how he is with his patients--so refreshing.

Excellent pre and post operation care. Dr. Lipton did a colon resection on me in April 2017. I loved his gentle nature and when nurses tell you they'd have him do their surgeries, you know he's a winner. Thank you Brian Lipton for being a skilled surgeon.

Loved working with this doctor. Very matter of fact, straight forward, confident. Office staff was great, I helped to get my surgery approved with my ins. (faster with me pushing). I would trust him with other surgeries in future should the need arise. I had a ventral hernia repair. spent ALL the time I needed explaining, not rushed.

Dr Lipton is the best surgeon I have met so far. He explains everything in detail. He is very understanding and his office always gets me in right away when I need to be seen. I will always recommend him to everyone I know. He did my case and it was a difficult one, he is very intelligent.

This Dr was difficult to deal with, acting as if we were wasting his time. (We saw him in the hospital only.) He was arrogant and pompous, minimizing anything we had to say and did not listen. As an RN myself, I was very disappointed in his attitude towards my loved one and would never recommend him. There are too many good surgeons out there to deal with this.

I was terrified of having gallbladder surgery. I looked Dr. Lipton up on Healthgrades and am so glad I went to him. He was thorough and immediately put me at ease about the impending surgery. On surgery morning he arrived fresh and positive.
