Scheduling is lacking coordination and response
Teresa does not have time to follow up with patients waiting on a call back list for weeks. This is not optimal patient care meanwhile people who are ready to pay and schedule needed surgeries are furthering injury, and pain.

Dr McWhorter is my hero
I suffered with knee pain for years. Dr McWhorter replaced both knees. He gave me my life back. I am going to see him again. My Primary Dr, sId my hip pain is due to bone on bone. I already feel comfortable knowing he will be doing my surgery.

On September 16, 2020, Dr. McWhorter repaired my right knee. He had to correct numerous errors committed by my previous surgeon who replaced the knee in 2013. This was not a simple surgery. Dr. McWhorter had to remove the previous prosthetic knee, which had been installed at incorrect rotation to both my femur and tibia bones, install a new prosthesis in the correct position, recover, reshape and re-position my patella, remove and replace the patella's support, and many more corrections. I was under anesthesia for 3.5 hours. I am delighted by the results, the surgery was a complete success. I would recommend Dr. McWhorter without hesitation.

Dr. McWhorter replaced my right hip 7 years ago and I have had NO TROUBLE whatsoever with it. In October 2018, Dr. McWhorter did a right knee partial replacement and, again, I have not had any issues with the knee and how it feels. Any surgery can bring with it nerve issues and initially my knee was numb in a few places along the scar line. I haven't noticed it at all in the last year so time has been a good healer. Every patient is unique and all patient's heal differently but my experiences were excellent. I do not hesitate in recommending Dr. McWhorter to anyone needing hip or knee surgery.

My experience with Dr. McWhorter was ok until my concerns were not listened too. I did not want an anesthesia were they put a tube down my throat. It's be known to cause a kind of dementia. After making an extra appt just to discuss this and ask not to be given this type of anesthesia. It happened any ways. I was able to sing before this surgery and now besides my crappy memory, I ca not sing at all now. I am so unhappy with everything. On the morning of my surgery I came into the waiting area when I was told to be there. And my husband and I waited 6.5 hours to be called into surgery. Totally unexceptable. Im at almost 7 months and have done everything I was suppose to do for PT and exercise and my knee and muscle spasms are still bad. So it has been the worst experience of my life and I wish I would have left my knee along. This pain is worse than the pain I was used too before my total knee replacement. Not happy and can't do one thing about my pain, spasms or my lost voice

Dr. McWhorter lies about the infection rates at his hospital to all of his patients. He will tell you there's a 1% chance of a staph infection for a hip replacement. This number is an absolute fallacy. Of course I didn't believe that he could say that legally if it was a lie, and I was wrong. They can do this by stating a national average. that number is a fallacy due to the fact that most States don't even have to report infections

My experience with Dr McWhorter is first rate. He is kind and compassionate, honest, trustworthy and an excellent surgeon. I had both hips replaced in 2016, and I've had no problems whatsoever. I would recommend him to my closest and dearest friends and relatives.
