I had knee pain that wouldn't go away. Too many stair races at the gym. Dr. Shafer ordered an MRI and confirmed I needed surgery. He assured me that my particular surgery is simple with typically a quick recovery. He has a great bedside manner and patiently answered all my questions (I've never had surgery before). Scheduling and communicating with his office was easy. And each of my appointments were on schedule (no incessant waiting, as in some medical offices). During my post op appointment a week after surgery he gave me exercises for range of motion and said I should be back in action in no time. Dr. Shafer is an expert orthopedic surgeon. Highly recommend him to anyone who has knee pain.
