I believe Dr. Shiu when he tells me that surgery is not the best step forward to fix my rotator cuff tear. We will do PT first.

I feel comfortable and not rushed when visiting the office and Dr. Shiu explains all the procedures in a language I can understand.

Having endured over 12 surgeries to repair psoriatic arthritis damage I have known some excellent doctors. Dr. Shiu did his examination and was able to give me clear positive options to get back best possible function quickly. He did not rush me and he took a real interest in my getting improvement quickly. I think I am very fortunate. He is on my case.

I have always liked Towson orthopedics but hadn’t needed them in many years. Then I broke my shoulder bone. I was referred to Dr Shui. I was in extreme pain & discomfort. Dr Shui was immediately kind & comforting. He explained everything clearly & patiently. he has an excellent bedside manner. He had my surgery scheduled within two days because of my pain. I felt so cared for by him. I started hearing about his excellent reputation. I am so grateful that I found dr shui. He helped make a lousy situation so much better.

Dr Shui was very pleasant and reassuring. Replacement shoulder. I’ve been to Towson for almost every joint in my body, as well as 2 broken wrists (10 years apart). Rotator cuff surgery. Likely some more joint replacements, and I won’t go anywhere else.

Clearly explains the result of X-ray and MRI and exam by hands movement with verbal communication prior diagnostic. Several recommendations for treatment and give patient a choice to make that decision.

From scheduling an appointment to ending my actual visit, all in all a very positive experience. All staff members I personally came in contact with were friendly and very efficient. I only had to wait several minutes between each step of the process; very helpful when your body is in pain to not have to wait long intervals. Dr. Shiu recommended was seems to be a good course of action for my issue, with plans to take other steps if my situation doesn’t improve, or worsens. Very glad I was referred to Dr. Shiu!

Overall just great care!

The visit was a great experience. He explained why I was in pain. Dr Shiu also gave many options to try since I’m not ready to have surgery. He was kind and made me feel so comfortable to talk too. I promise you won’t be sorry if you choose Dr Shiu

Dr Shiu is an exceptional doctor and surgeon. You can immediately tell that he is meticulous with a kind bedside manner. He listens and explains in detail what you need to know. I’d recommend him for anyone in my family.
