Im incredibly grateful to Dr.Weatherford for the outstanding care I received during my mid foot surgery. His expertise and attention to detail give me confidence from the first consultation to the follow up appointments. Thanks to Dr. Weatherford, Im now walking pain- free and regaining mobility that I thought I had lost for good. I highly recommend Dr Weatherford to anyone in need of expert surgical care for foot and ankle.

total ankle replacement
Dr. Weatherford performed a total ankle replacement on my husband. It is 4 days later and he has little to zero pain. A good surgeon leaves their patients with little pain. I find what he did miraculous and it was one of his hardest cases to date.

Brian was the first of 5 doctors who treated my injury who thought to take an xray panel for differing views of a complicated injury. Staff and nurses friendly and helpful. Was far easier to schedule an appointment when compared to IBJ, Advocate, Northshore U. But post-appointment care was disappointing. Doctor Weatherford does NOT personally read and reply to patients. Details about pain and causes get lost through staff. Was a good start but again left disappointed.

Absolutely the worst appointment and follow-up ever. He told me I might need my foot amputated, his staff told me I would get the after visit report in two days. I was told to contact them if I did not. I did four times and a month later still nothing. Absolutely the worst experience ever for such an extreme diagnosis. Steer clear!!!

Dr, Weatherford listened, examined my foot gently, and prescribed physical therapy. It was a second opinion visit for me, but he will now be my primary orthopaedist! He is low-keyed, clearly knowledgeable, and responsive and also has a good sense of humor.

I came to Dr. Brian Weatherford with a comminuted fracture of the navicular metatarsal bone in my left foot . . . and I am so glad I did! I am 23 years old and live an extraordinarily active lifestyle. The prospect of potentially not having a full recovery, and thus not being able to resume my former level of athletics, was a lot to take in. Dr. Weatherford was extremely diligent both in the operating room (4hr+ surgery to put all the pieces together) and in his discussion with me about my options. He was upfront with me about the possibility that I might not make a full recovery with this severe of an injury. He said he would do everything in his power to give me the best chance at living an active lifestyle again. I was given an external fixator for 6 weeks and a post surgical boot for an additional 6 weeks. It has now been around 7 months since my break and I am running, rock climbing, hiking, etc all with minimal pain. I cannot thank you enough Dr. Weatherford!

Dr. Weatherford was extremely understanding and patient with regards to all my questions and concerns about surgery to correct my broken ankle. He took the time to see me both before and after the surgery, never rushing away til he addressed any questions I had. It’s a wonderful thing to find a top notch surgeon who also has a great bedside manor too.
