Why does he interact with patients?
What stood out immediately was his insensitive and dismissive attitude, not to mention his complete lack of communication after multiple requests for responses to the denial of my Medicare pre authorization of standard steroid injection. Can’t understand why on earth this doc is in pain management

The worst doctor we have met!
First, we waited more than 40 minutes before going into the doctor’s office and anther 40 minutes before he came to us. My husband was in pain, he couldn’t sit anymore, trying to stretch his back. Second, doctor White was arrogant and just impolite. Third, it was our first visit to him, and he had no idea what’s going, which treatment had been done. Forth, he offered repeating all steps were done before and our insurance denied such plan, for sure. And last, I was waiting one month for usual Basset’s letter for giving feedback of our visit and it never comes! So I decided to put our review here.

This Doctor SUCKS-cancel your appointment now!
He kept saying, 'Just answer the question.' Was condescending, arrogant and dismissed my pain. Said I needed to lose weight and exercise for an hour a day. Didn't offer injections or pain killers, just Voltarin gel! He doesn't believe Fibromyalgia is real and hates NSAIDS. Says the body should heal itself and meds don't help. Said my breasts were too big and causing my shoulder pain. I left there crying because I was in so much pain and disappointed that he didn't help. Totally useless Dr and a waste of my time and copay. I would give him O stars if I could. One of the worse Dr's I have ever seen. DO NOT RECOMMEND. Also, the staff was very quiet and seemed nervous. No music playing-totally quiet office. That should have been a red flag right there.

WORST DOCTOR EVER IN MY LIFE!!! I have never met such an uncaring, callous, cold hearted, boorish, arrogant and unqualified doctor, as Dr. White. Even more damning is that I was in worse condition after his surgery than I was before. Dr. White should NOT be employed by Bassett Medical Center or any other medical facility. He is an ABOMINATION of a doctor, and should be ashamed to call himself such!

Shop Around
Only took one meeting to know this is not the guy who’s going to be treating my wife. Shop around folks, find someone who is compassionate, and who’s main focus isn’t weight loss (especially to someone who is not even close to extremely over weight.) I’m stuck wondering if he didn’t get a good nights sleep prior to our appointment at 7:45am or his demeanor is just his normal grumpy self. Find someone who’s not gonna speak condescendingly to you, but who genuinely cares about your well-being. Shop around - this guy wasn’t for us and he probably won’t be for you. Strange that the only good reviews on this guy are from his peers … hmmmm….

Pointless visit
If you're in pain and have already had multitudes of joint injections, he's useless. Without even looking at the films of my spine after 3 surgeries, he just assumed I was a junkie. All Bassett Primaries seem to have this in common. If you're a woman, bring a man with you and he'll show you some respect. But best if you just find a new doc. Still disgusted with his lack of empathy.

Worst. Doctor. Ever.
Argued with every answer I gave to his questions: indicated I didn't know how to answer, as if I were on the stand with a prosecuting attorney badgering me: "Just answer the question". Finally told me I needed back surgery while examining my MRI. He could have led with that diagnosis, but seemed to enjoy upsetting me for a good half hour. He and the nurse kept two meds in my chart after I told each of them I do not take those meds anymore. Worst. Doctor. Ever.

I'm giving 1 star because I can't give zero. I was his first patient of the day. I looked at his 10 gal can of used needles in his sharp can and nearly barfed. I told the nurse I dont want to be in the same room with this. She told doctor and he had attitude with me. Asked 100 questions and when I did not know the date of a injury from 35 years ago, he puts in my notes I'm a challenged historian. In this pandemic the office should be clean.

Dr. White was not helpful at all. He did not problem solve and basically said I’d have to live with my pain. Very negative. I went to another doctor who has helped me tremendously by being an active listener, thinking outside the box, and giving me hope.

I think this guy is a quack! Met w/ him yesterday & according to him, w/out reviewing my chart basically denied my primary diagnosis despite fact that I meet all the criteria for it, & that ALL my pain is bc I smoke. Also that exercise isn't needed to lose weight....that it's all diet. All Nutritionists are wrong. & I am healing from a fractured wrist & he grabbed by hand that's in a brace for the fracture & proceeded to give a form handshake! Super! Yeah not happy here!!
