Dr. Brianna Schumacher, MD

After years of trying to conceive on our own, my husband and I looked to Dr. Schumacher and her team at Shady Grove for answers and help. She was very thorough in providing information and testing. During the entire process, I felt like a person and not just a number. The staff wanted this to work for us, not solely to boost SGF's success rate. After one round of IVF, we have our miracle baby, who is now a happy, healthy 19 month old. I will be forever grateful!!

Dr. Brianna is a rock star! She is knowledgeable, empathetic, and truly caring. I would highly recommend her for your fertility journey. She has the ability to make what can be a challenging and emotional process feel supported and hopeful.

Dr. Schumacher is nothing short of an absolute miracle worker with the bedside manner of an angel. It was a privilege working with her from 2019-2023 to have our two donor embryo babies. I'm still in awe that we have these two amazing miracles. When complications popped up, she was always on top of finding a solution, working with her fellow doctors, and thinking outside the box too. We are so fortunate and thankful to have worked with her!

Each visit I felt like a person, not a number. Interactions were on a personal as well as medical basis. The empathy and compassion when things weren't going as planned were very executed very well. My questions were always answered, if not by Dr. Schumacher herself, by her direct nurse contact. She was available for appointments when necessary. While I didn't see her at every appointment, the staff working at Chesterbrook were amazing.

We couldn’t have found a better fertility clinic. Dr. Schumacher and the team were extremely attentive, easy to talk to, and explained everything in a way which was best for my husband and me. (We’re engineers and LOVED the data and statistics driven decision making). My favorite part was during my last ultrasound appointment at 10 weeks pregnant. A team member I hadn’t even worked with yet saw I was holding my OB discharge book and came over to me and said “Oh my gosh we’re so happy for you!!! We haven’t even met but I’m so thrilled!” then gave me a huge hug. That interaction pretty sums up the care and dedication of Dr. Schumacher and the entire team.

Dr Schumacher and her team were incredible! They were patient, encouraging and never gave up. Thanks to her and her amazing team, we have our beautiful daughter!

Dr. Schumacher is the best of the best! She goes above and beyond for you and treats you more than just a patient. She communicates with you every step of the way and sends emails to keep you updated! I went through IVF and she was there to do my egg retrieval and transfer. She is brilliant and the sweetest doctor ever. We are so grateful for her and I couldn't recommend her enough. SHE IS WHO YOU WANT ON YOUR FERTILITY TEAM!!

I transferred to Dr. Schumacher after a year+ with another doctor from another practice. Best move ever. Dr. Schumacher was absolutely wonderful from day 1. She explained everything so well and answered all questions. She was so involved in my care and instead of just following a routine, kept switching and improving treatment based on results. She was so involved, would do ultrasounds and tries to perform all her patient procedures, despite there being a schedule for doctors rotating. Would highly recommend Dr. Schumacher, I have my baby girl because of her.

Dr. Schumacher is the best! She treated me through a total of 6 IUI cycles (unexplained infertility) which resulted in 2 singleton pregnancies in 2020 and 2023. She is a great communicator who always took time to explain my treatment options and plans. She never made me or my husband feel rushed and always answered all of our questions. I did not see her every visit, but I knew she was working closely with the nurses and reviewing things behind the scenes. She made sure that I knew she was available if I needed to meet or speak to her directly. She alway made me feel like she personally cared about the success of my treatments and had warm/personable bedside manner. I’d highly recommend her to anyone seeking treatment.

Absolutely AMAZING! I was under her care for almost 2 years and we finally had success on our last try. Dr Schumacher is so compassionate and caring, she felt like a friend I could turn to in need. We felt very reassured at every turn, even during the scariest moments - I could not have asked for a better doctor/patient experience!

Dr. Schumacher Is amazing. Since my first appointment she explained everything and what are my options.. I visited Dr. Schumacher After three years of trying to convince and now I'm pregnant with my first baby :) Everyone in Shady Grove Fertility is amazing, they truly care about their patients and do everything they can to help.

Dr. Schumacher made such a difference in our experience. She truly cared and offered so much support. She goes above and beyond to make sure her patients understand and have all of the knowledge needed to move forward. I felt so confident in her care. She’s the reason for our baby girl born in December 2021!

We had a wonderful experience with Dr Schumacher, I would happily recommend her to anyone seeking fertility treatment. She always explained all our options thoroughly and was extremely patient while helping us decide our next steps. The whole process was overwhelming and at times exhausting but Dr Schumacher never lost faith that we would make it to our happy ending! We couldn’t be happier with Dr Schumacher and SG!!

She was very angry about stepping in for another doctor and kept reminder the patient how much she was being inconvenienced. She was very aggressive and kept cutting the patient’s partner off while they were trying to talk. Not ok to someone who is struggling with fertility like that.

My first appointment with Dr Schumacher was great. She was friendly, personable and explained everything in great detail. I felt comfortable, calm and not rushed. I would definitely recommend her to others.

We came to Dr. Schumacher and Shady Grove after 3 years of struggling to conceive and working with multiple other programs and doctors. Dr. Schumacher has treated us with nothing but compassion, while making sure we understood every aspect of every treatment option. She also has the best bedside manner of any doctor we have worked with through this process. After two more years we are finally expecting our first baby via IVF and Dr. Schumacher + the Shady Gove PA team. She goes above and beyond to make sure we are heard and not just a number, she checks in with us and calls us personally, most of all, she is kind and understanding and allowed us to decide our timelines and choose which treatment to do and when. I would also like to add that everyone from the moment you walk in the door were really great to work with, they even got to know me personally as a frequent flyer. We wouldn't be here today without her, we will be back for future babies! We love Dr. Schumacher!

I’ve had exactly four extremely lucky moments that have shaped my life and two of those moments happened with Shady Grove Fertility. One was being assigned to Dr. Brianna Schumacher when I scheduled our first consultation. Dr. Schumacher is so many things that I am grateful for. She’s kind, which is something that makes a huge difference when, as a person with infertility issues, you feel like fate is being unkind to you. She’s relatable - never comes across as distanced, and she makes you feel like you have a guardian angel. She’s straightforward - and as a person that compulsively plans for disappointment, that’s a huge relief, because I don’t need to rely on 15 different Googled possible outcomes because my doctor is too vague. I am in my 13th week of pregnancy now, and I am honestly missing going to SGF. At week 7 I had a subchorionic hemorrhage, and Dr. Schumacher was the only reason I didn’t give up hope.

If I could give her more than 5 stars I would. She was open to suggestions, taking different approaches, showed empathy and passion in all that she does. After 8 years of trying and 2 years with her group, we have successfully became pregnant! It was a challenge and she kept with me the entire time providing support all the way. Thank you!

Dr. Schumacher and her entire team are phenomenal! You can quickly tell that they all love what they do and always made my feelings validated and heard. I wish I could give more than 5 stars!!
