She (Dr. Bridget Hittepole) reviews the chart before speaking to me so that she understands the purpose of the visit as well as my history. This makes me feel like I receive personal attention. She notes that I do not like to take meds if I can avoid it and she helps me work out a treatment plan that I am comfortable with. She makes me feel she has my best interest at heart and always listens to my concerns.

Computer Warrior
She likes to prescribe medication I wasn’t comfortable with, orders excessive testing and referrals that are unnecessary, and doesn’t even look at you or examine you. She just types on her computer. She has a pleasant manner but I just didn’t care for her. I found a much better doctor with much more compassion.

Excellent Physician!
Dr. Hittepole is an excellent doctor. She is very thorough and slow to prescribe medications where another alternative exists. She is committed to health and wellness in her patients and works to teach prevention whenever possible.

I had a very bad experience with Bridget B. Hittepole, M. D. today. My mother was seen by her this morning in the U of L Physician's Group tower located in downtown Louisville, Ky. I was allowed to speak with her and my mother while they were waiting on an ambulance so my mother could be transported to a hospital. She was very rude to me because they had the wrong telephone number on file and they couldn't reach me while I was in the parking lot waiting for my mother. Maybe they had an old telephone # I don't know but her tone of voice was very rude and Dr. Hittepole had a very bad attitude while she was speaking to me. I never experienced a doctor being so rude in my entire life. I was not rude to her at all there was no need for this bad behavior.

As an old school physician trained in the art of a COMPLETE physical exam, I’m of the opinion that it’s unfortunate these Young Docs seem more concerned about documenting rather than examining. I understand the need for documentation. The TRADITIONAL H&P does take time but time needs to be taken. I’ve been her patient 3 years now and only once did she listen to My chest unclothed. I have not taken off My clothes and had an exam of My genitalia, or a DRE to examine my prostate or rectum. She’ll usually listen to my heart and lungs THROUGH My clothing and feel My distal feet pulses through My socks. I’m sure she’s well qualified to be a staff physician and Assistant Professor in the Medicine Department and is Board Certified. The first time she examined my neck it was just a cursory nanosecond palpation at best. I understand time constraints in seeing patients but in order to give a thorough PE and proper History one H.S. to spend time either the patient especially a new patient.
