Helps keep my life livable
I have seen Dr Chalunkal for 3 years, receiving spinal injections approx every 3 months. My spine is degenerating and cannot be fixed, but Dr C has relieved the pain so that i am no longer completely bed ridden. Dr C is quite responsive to my concerns and works closely with me to manage my pain and to keep me as active as possible. The entire office staff as well as Dr C always has a smile for me when i come in. An office visit is always warm and friendly. i know i will be well taken care of.

Highly recommend Dr. Chalunkal.
I have been a patient for at least 6 years. He understands my issues with pain. I’m almost 80 so my arthritis pain has gotten progressively worse. We work together with his staff to keep my pain at a level that I can still function. I’m aware of the stigma that goes with the use of narcotics especially in today’s environment of so much abuse. He and his staff are on top of my pain medication and offer alternatives with other medication to keep my life safe and somewhat pain manageable and stable. He is easy to talk to and has his patients wellbeing in mind all the time. Finding a good care provider when it comes to pain management is not an easy task. My rheumatologist and my orthopedic specialist support his treatment. I am able to continue to enjoy and interact with 11 grandchildren and 6 soon to be 7 great grands.I live with two of my granddaughters and am able to take care of them. At my age I still do school drop off and pickup. I’m still cooking and transporting them!

I have been seeing Dr Chalunkal for over 5 years. I have been so happy with the personal care he has given me through this time. Dr C as I call him , and many others do too, has worked so hard to keep my pain managed with medication I won’t get hooked on. I do have one medication that can be addictive but I love the fact he tells me he wants to watch addictive medications and has added a non addictive to help with nerve pain instead of just increasing the other. I also love the fact that Dr C has worked with the surgeons when I’ve had some surgeries over the years. Them handling it together makes me feel so safe about not having any interactions or accidental overdoses. He is so good managing my pain safely. Dr C also is so good to check on your personal well brining because medications can affect your moods he has told me. Last of all it seems to be a shortage at times with my medications. I think that is the way this crazy world is with opioids safety tight now. Dr Chalunkal has been the greatest to work with me to find a pharmacy that has my medication if my normal pharmacy doesn’t. He has even called me after hours to make sure I am Ok and everything worked out. You just have to be patient because he has over 3000 patients. He and hai staff are the BEST. I recommend Dr Chalunkal to anyone thAt may need pain management. Again, he is just amazing.

Dr. Chalunkal is fantastic!! My wife sees him for pain management. When I started having a problem in my back I asked him about it during one of her visits. He told me to start by getting an MRI and then get back in to see him. He did some injections and I ultimately had surgery. He was kind and very concerned that I get a good outcome and was on top of my pain management following surgery. I really can't say enough good about Dr. Chalunkal. He knows his stuff and I think he can give you the best options for treating your pain.

I went to see Dr. Chalunkal because I had a severe pain in my lower back. Dr. Chalunkal gave me an injection into my back. Within three days the pain went completely away. It has been about two weeks since I received the injection and the pain has not returned.

I am 77 years old and had many surgeries. My first visit with Dr. Brite Chalunkal was a good experience. He is a very special man. He is easy to talk to and has a calming manner about him. Dr. C. listened , spoke and when we completed our session, I felt like I just had a Verbal X Ray. Prior to seeing Dr. C.I was ready to give up. The extreme pain, limited family association and limited social activity I was isolating myself from the world. Dr. C knew how and what I was going through. Do I still have pain Yes. No one expects to be pain free. We want to take medication needed to enjoy our family's and participate in daily life. We do not want to be drugged up or sleepy. We just want a Dr. C. Someone who understands what we need. Someone who cares enough to take the time to find out what is needed to make life worth living. I thank you Dr. C. for giving me back my life.

Dr. C was great with testing my wife's carpal tunnel issues. In addition to this, we mentioned that she was having chronic back pain, and he suggested he take a quick look. He quickly suggested several things that might help! He's one of the very few doctors that actually took the time to probe the pain area, and took the time to help! I would highly recommend Dr. C for not just pain management, but to also look for solutions to the physical pain.

Dr. Chalunkal is A1 in my book! I was seeing him in Waxahachie until he moved his practice to McKinney. I had 1 appointment with his replacement ( which I waited over an hour for my appt) and have now made my next appointment with Dr.C even though it's over 1 1/2 hours away. My peace of mind seeing a doctor I feel comfortable with is worth it. He is very pleasant, easy to talk to and genuinely cares about his patents. My husband said he was willing to drive 3 hours if need be. Enough said!

Dr. C. cares about you and does everything he can to ease your pain. He recommended me to a Neuro Dr and I had the surgery. He is very caring and truly does care about you. I have had several epidural injections before the surgery, some worked and some didn't. He has your best interest at heart. You will not regret seeing Dr. C. His nurse Paula is so sweet...she is very caring as well.

I've only had one appointment with him, but from the second he walked in the door and shook my hand, I was completely at ease. We talked about my medical history and all that fun stuff, and decided that Baylor Dallas had the kind of pain management doctors I needed. Even though HE couldn't help me himself, he gave me the next step. He treated me like a human. I walked out of his office with a smile and a plan. Even though he's not a "chiari" doctor, I would recommend him to anyone and everyone!

Dr C is the kind of doctor one strives to find. He listens, truly cares & does what he can to ease both your physical & emotional pain. If he can't manage to control your physical pain, he'll refer you to someone he believes can. I have such trust in his abilities, have referred others to him & have received back heartfelt thanks from them. Also, his staff treats you like family & have the greatest empathy for you.
