Dr. Britiany Sheard-Caple, MD

I have been having problem with hip pain for almost two years. I’ve seen PCP, sports medicine and PT. Dr Sheard -Caple sat down with me and listened to my whole story. My main goal is to be able to get back to my normal exercise and able to sleep. She helped me understand what the problem might be and set me up to start a path towards recovery. She also was extremely knowledgeable about meditation. I do not do well with pain meds and all the other medication that others had ordered made me sick or sleepy for days. She was kind, concerned and gave me her time. I’m so very thankful that I was able to be seen by Dr Sheard-Caple she has set me on a path that for the first time,I have hope.

Dr. Sheard-Caple administered my epidural during labor. She was so kind and explained everything to me in detail. I was nervous about having an epidural and she made me feel very comfortable and confident in having it done. She is excellent at what she does and made my birthing experience and pain so much better! I would recommend her to any of my friends and family!

If you are looking for someone to help you with treating your chronic pain, look elsewhere. She has shown no empathy towards chronic pain, and has made decisions which have left chronic pain uncontrolled. Chronic pain has lead to a lack of sleep and exacerbation of depression, to the point suicide was considered to escape uncontrolled pain. When she was informed of the situation, was told to look elsewhere for help. Leaves you with the general feeling that you are viewed as a drug seeker looking for medication and that your pain that you are experiencing is not real to her. This review is left by a concerned family member who has in the last year lost two family members already to suicide, one who was having chronic pain which was unable to be controlled.
