Felt violated
She let her resident repair the tear to my perineum after delivery without asking my permission. I absolutely did not want a resident doing this procedure and felt extremely violated when I looked up from holding my baby and it was a student doing the stitches. I struggle with regrets that this caused some of my issues postpartum that I will likely have for life. She was also incredibly rude and almost antagonistic when I asked any questions. After delivery she commented to the nurse about how this could have gone so much faster if I had let her break my water earlier.

I am an ER doctor. Dr. Lucas did a great job with our actual delivery, but the clinic care before and after was subpar. The clinic generally is very difficult to follow up with. It is very hard to get a hold of anyone there and they are not very courteous. Appointments generally feel rushed and our concerns during post partum visits really weren't met at all. She ended up sending us on a wild goose chase for follow up to specialists that really weren't the right specialty for our complaints. Most of the discussions that are standard for OB care were not had or were done in a rushed fashion. Overall, the clinic is quite sloppy and you could do much better than Women's First OB

Good Experience with Dr. Lucas
My experience with Dr. Lucas was actually the best of all the Doctors in her current practice (her current practice cycles patients through multiple doctors). I try to be as informed as I can be, and Dr. Lucas had substantive, attentive conversation with me. OB/GYN’s have a tough job, but I think that often leads to diminishment of patient experience/knowledge in favor of quick or common diagnoses/solutions. Dr. Lucas acted like she respected me and recognized that my assertions were informed. I have found that rare. I would request her services over other doctors I’ve seen there.

Dr. Lucas gave my disabled adult child an oophy.
We were given Dr. Lucas after the doctor we saw could not work within our schedule in having my disabled adult child's ovaries taken out in a timely manner due to breast cancer. I will not give Dr. Lucas a bad grade. I thought she was young, competent and in a hurry while on her cell phone but she was fully competent in what she does. This occurred 4 years ago.

Horrible
I have been at Women’s First for 16 years. I have always been so impressed with their patience, professionalism, and caring nature. Sadly, this was not the case wirh Dr. Lucas. She completely rushed through my colposcopy, didn’t explain anything at all, and didn’t call me to tell me what my results were. I left 2 messages for her. Unfortunately I have to have more testing done and I refuse to see Dr. Lucas. She is curt, rude, and didn’t listen to me at all.

The doctor ignored everything I said before the appointment in regards to my pain during intercourse, ignored my concerns about having a pap smear after they were unsuccessful in the past, claimed that she had “never experienced an unsuccessful pap smear” so it would be odd if this one didn’t work, then proceeded to give me the exam despite me not wanting it and voicing my concerns. She did not stop the exam until I was screaming in pain begging her to stop. I have never seen a doctor so blatantly ignore the concerns of a patient, attempt to force themselves inside of you, and get upset when the un consensual exam is unsuccessful. She then got irritating that she “wasn’t able to get a good look” at my vagina or cervix, and then asked me if I had sexual trauma after the fact. After I broke down crying she dismissively said “it’s ok” before curtly leaving the room. Please never go to this doctor. Now I get to deal with some fun medical trauma!

Felt very dismissed at my appointments with Dr. Lucas. My postnatal appointment was all of maybe 5 minutes, pelvic exam was a few seconds and she did not explain anything. My questions were brushed off and I left feeling annoyed and ignored with doubts on the very rushed answers/lack of answers I was provided.

I found Dr. Lucas after a year of being dismissed by so many doctors. She was to the point and made it a priority to give me the care I needed. She is knowledgeable, kind, and I will not go to any other OB/GYN if I can help it!

We were very disappointed with Dr. Lucas. She was very dismissive of any questions we had during our visit, and kept trying to leave the room. It's not like we had a laundry list of questions, we simply wanted to ask further about some concerns we had for baby and mom based on the last ultrasound. She even was answering questions with the door open and one foot out of the room. Overall, we left the appointment with more questions than when we went in. The rest of the practice so far has been very pleasant and great experiences, and this was our first bad experience.

I am so glad to have found Dr. Brooke Lucas. She is so caring and sensitive about my health concerns and always thoroughly explains everything! Everytime I go in it's like seeing an old friend. She is always happy to see me. Congratulations to the Lucas family on the new addition to the family!

Least favorite dr out of all them. Very rude and seemed annoyed with questions. I would not recommend her to anyone. She walked out of the room instead of answering questions, which was only 5 mins of interaction. The only reason there is one star is because it won’t let you put zero

No visibility or trustworthiness. She never explained anything she was doing. The appointment was also very quick and rushed. For a pelvic exam she said she was just "checking on things" she never told me she was testing me for anything. I looked down during my exam and she was swabbing me and sending in samples to be tested. She never told me what she was doing or testing for.

I’ve been seeing Dr. Lucas for about a year now. She’s absolutely great. She’s very caring always has a smile on her face and takes time to explain things to me. She helped my husband and I get pregnant and I’m forever grateful. I highly recommend her. She’s the best.

Terrible. I had to make a last minute appointment and she was the only available doctor. When I was in tears telling her how much pain I was in her response was “it doesn’t hurt that much”. She is careless and has zero bedside manner. She does not care about her patients, she’s just looking to get in and out as quickly as possible. She never explained anything to me.

Dr. Lucas is not patient friendly she doesn’t care to interact with soon to be moms. She has zero bedside manner and doesn’t wish to answer any questions. She is a doctor that likes to make moves with zero patient input. We met with her a few times and could tell she disliked any patient interaction . Please avoid her at all costs she doesn’t care she just wants to get paid. We would pay money to avoid her at all costs. Rude. Uncaring. Useless. Lucas hates her patients.

Dr. Lucas was very friendly and she was answering all of my questions thoroughly. My whole appointment went very smoothly and without excessive waiting; still I didn't feel rushed, but I felt well taken care of. Not sure why other people have left bad reviews.
