Another excellent office visit with Dr. Trotter
Everything about my visit to Grapevine Internal Medicine and the annual check-up by Dr. Trotter was great. He doesn't rush you through the appointment and listens to what his patient wants to discuss. He really cares about his patients. I've been seeing Dr. Trotter for almost 25 years and have always been happy that I selected him to be my doctor! The office staff (his nurses, patient scheduling, and onsite lab) are the best as well. I've also started working with the allergist in the office and it's definitely helping. I highly recommend Dr. Trotter if you are looking for a really good internist!

Sad he has lost desire
Poor, after 15+ years last 2 visits were very brief maybe 5 minutes, dismissed as an unwanted pain, he has been an outstanding Dr for years but since my health issues (bypass surgery, cancer) he does not seem to even care, last visit in February i asked specific question, ,he seemed put out about concern and told me not to worry about it, working on a second opinion i believe i have a sever hernia needing surgery, after 15+ years have lost faith in his patient care, i believe he is very knowledgeable just has lost motivation and care, sad.

Should not be allowed to practice medicine
Awful. We asked for a list of my husbands prescriptions so that he could request daily pill packs from the pharmacy; Dr Trotter didn’t have a record of my husband’s prescriptions. . Instead he asked what does he take. We wanted to know what he SHOULD be taking. Shouldn’t a doctor know what he has prescribed. In addition, Dr. Trotter was prescribing a controlled substance without monitoring my husband as required by law. Any doctor who does not know what medications he has prescribed and does not monitor controlled substances should not be in practice.

Staff unresponsive and rude
I've been trying for two days to get a response and treatment scheduled for my father. It takes one phone call, and we've been waiting for two days as he gets sicker and sicker. When I called to inquire of the status of our request, the receptionist was rude and short with me and insisted they were "probably" working on it. I'm not sure what "work" there is to do on a phone call. This is extremely frustrating. My parents both love Dr. Trotter, but the support staff in the office obviously needs to make some improvements on response time and general customer service. I will also be forwarding a complaint directly to Dr. Trotter.

I have seen Dr. Trotter since I first moved to Texas in 1995. He has always been very professional and has taken the time to carefully explain various situations related to my health. He answers questions with the latest medical information supporting his comments and advice. I enjoy my relationship with Dr. Trotter and am very comfortable that I am in good hands. I can offer an unqualified positive recommendation of Dr. Trotter.

Dr. Trotter never makes me feel rushed and is always willing to listen. His nurse Anna is very good about returning calls and is always easy to talk to. If I had to critique anything, the office needs to be updated. The exam rooms are a mess and look like they've seen better days. When you have to use a plastic step stool to get on an exam table, it's time to look at a replacement. A good cleaning wouldn't hurt either.

I am extremely happy with the service, treatment, and professionalism of Dr. Trotter and his staff. Dr. Trotter is thorough, compassionate, and professional, not to mention incredibly intelligent. He has solved an issue that other doctors have missed. I could not be happier. Additionally, his staff has been wonderful. They are eager to help and always greet me with a cheerful smile. Overall, I could not be any happier than I am with this practice. I give them an A++++!

Doctor Trotter has been our family doctor for more than 10 years. He is a soft spoken, carful listener. This ability to carefully listen to the patient, is not always the case with all doctors. Dr. Trotter never seems rushed to get through his appointment with us. He has also spent the time to explain a treatment plan, and to offer options he thinks might be beneficial. If your looking for a new Doctor, I would highly recommend him as I have to many friends.

I have been a patient of Dr. Trotter since 1989. He has been not only my doctor but I feel he is a more a friend that cares about me. I have been fortunate to have him as someone that has helped me with from small illnesses to discovering my blockage in my heart and guiding me with the bypass surgery. So no surprise when my son asked me about a recommendation for a doctor without hesitation I sent him to Dr. Trotter. Thank you for taking care of me for all these years.

My husband and I have seen Trotter for years. He will even call back personally on days off when needed. His nurse always remembers us and is kind and patient. Trotter doesn't try to change meds and diets too quickly and he listens to all our concerns. He has given us samples of new meds, coupons, or generic scripts to avoid high costs. I never have trouble making appointments in his busy office. I never feel rushed when I'm with the Doctor or his staff.

Dr. Trotter has been my primary care physician for 30 years, been practicing in Grapevine for 32. Thus, I have been his patient almost from the very beginning. We were both young and really in the prime of our professional careers. Changed to another doctor for 2 yrs. closer to home after retiring and that was a huge mistake. My health and care went down the tubes. Returned to Dr. Trotter a year ago and after his work am feeling better than anytime in the past 5 yrs. Will never leave again!

I have been seeing Dr. Trotter since 1996. He is excellent. He is always ready and willing to explain my situation and answer my seemingly endless list of questions. Obviously you don't keep seeing the same doctor for twenty years without being very satisfied.

Brooks Trotter has been my primary care physician for more than 25 years. While most of our interaction has been routine exams, on two occasions I had minor emergencies. I was able to schedule same day appointments and received appropriate remedies. I appreciate his straightforward unvarnished advice and recommend him highly.
