Dr. Bruce Akuna, DO

Regan is very compassionate and really takes the time to listen to her patients. She takes what you have to say seriously and goes above and beyond to find solutions. She is very thorough when it comes to checking medications and interactions. She is personable, knowledgable, and what she does is important and life changing. Because of her troubleshooting my every day life has improved exponentially.

The staff is very unprofessional

Didn’t address my needs for consultation on a Professional manner. I need a referral to a specialist and he refused to continue with my care without explanation!

Thank God for this doctor! My original Dr took a leave of absence then his wife took over then she left! All in the same year! I had no idea who I was going to get for my Dr! I decided to stay and give Dr Akuna (who I’m always calling him Dr Akunta !) a try. I’m so glad I did! This Dr will spend the time with you and answer any and all questions you might have. I respect this Dr to treat me with the utmost care. You will not be disappointed in this great Dr. He also listens to you and respects your input ! Yes I definitely will recommend him!

Avoid this doctor hes a nice person but a horrible doctor the staff is even worse they do not care about you just getting you in the door to charge you and or your insurance after 2 years I have fired him and found another doctor

WORST. DOCTOR. EVER...!!!!! Dr. Akuna is a JOKE. He "coded" my 1st appointment so insurance charged me $400+ for an office visit. Incompetent office staff did not note of called in cancelations and made NO reminder calls for more than half of scheduled appointments. Hospital made follow-up appointment for me after joint replacement. NO REMINDER CALL was made by his office. I called that day to cancel because of severe pain and inability to drive myself. Two days later, I got a certified letter in the mail detailing my "release" due to no-shows. When I asked to talk with him, I was told he "refused" to speak to me. STAY AWAY FROM THIS DOCTOR. He is a JOKE and his office staff is incompetent at best.

The office is not helpful. They are rude and not patient friendly. They don’t care about anything but getting you in and out as quickly as possible. The medical knowledge is questionable at best. If you want true medical care. Find another Dr.!!!!

Dr. Bruce Acuna is a very well spoken down to earth Dr that explains in detail things that you need to know about your health I've been with them about a year and a half and I just don't know what I would do without Dr Acuna he explains everything and the staff and nurse practitioner the secretary or just out of this world good family practice good doctor

Dr. Akuna is very thorough, listens well, and tends to approach things for the best possible outcome with the least intervention. He is an excellent patient advocate! Thanks, Dr. Akuna, for all that you do!

Love Dr. Akuna. He is genuinely interested in his patients. And if he is running late it is because he spending time with the patient. However, getting through to the office is HORRIBLE. I have left message after message and have not received a return call. This has happened before. I was hoping for prescription before the weekend and it is not going to happen.

He is kind and very knowledgeable about anything I questioned. He has helped me regain control of my blood sugar. I am very satisfied with his care of me, and would recommend him to anyone looking for a doctor in this area.

We had an appointment today we thought was 8:30. We arrived around 8:25 to find out our appointment was actually at 8:15 and they wanted us there at 8:00 to fill out paperwork. Because we were 10 minutes late, we were told they would not see us even after we drove from Seneca (30 minutes each way), took off work, fasted for blood work. The lady at the front desk was EXTREMELY RUDE. I've been in the medical field for 12 years and I don't think I ever had anyone act that way.
