Gifted.
I believe he saved my mother’s life when she had to have a very serious tumor removal with bowel resection and no colostomy. She had chemo also and is 18 years in remission. I am facing the same plight and will return to Dr. Belin if surgery is part of my treatment.

Excellent Care for 14 years
Dr. Belin is always professional and patient with my health care. HIs explanations are clear and the procedures handled perfectly. He handled a personal need to enhance my recovery. A prior colonoscopy required specific expertise to resolve and results were excellent.

Dr Belin is a wonderful surgeon!! He performed a very difficult surgery on me with great success. My recovery time was less than predicted and I was released from the hospital days before anticipated. He is respectful and very caring. I am in no way knowledgeable about anything in the medical field but he answers my questions which may seem silly to others with patience and dignity. I couldn’t imagine going to any other doctor for the procedure he did. Can you tell I like my doctor???

Dr. Belin diagnosed cancer in my rectal area 2 and 1/2 years ago. Over the last 2 plus years I've returned every 6 months for Dr. Belin to scope and make sure everything is proceeding nicely. Dr. Belin is a kind, compassionate doctor and I trust his judgement. He has always displayed respect and takes the time to answer any questions. I'm extremely thankful for his care and the experience he has in treating his patients.

Dr. Bruce Belin is wonderful. He is very thorough and I receive the highest quality of care from him. He always greets me with a smile which makes me feel so comfortable. He sits down and really listens to me. He answers all of my many questions so thoroughly and in such a way I understand completely. He is very compassionate and very professional. His excellent education and his excellent experience as a Surgeon and my Internist highly recommending him was the reason I first went to him, but his so caring, so kind, very professional qualities are beyond excellent and THE WAY HE REALLY LISTENS TO ME and I TRUST HIM are the reasons I keep going back. I have had 2 colonoscopies with him since 2018. He called me after hours on a long work day for him to tell me he "was thrilled" to let me know the GOOD news about my biopsy, that he didn't want me to have to wait and worry to hear the news at my return visit. That meant so much to me! His staff is excellent. Thank you so much Dr. Belin.

Do not go to him, please see Dr. Beck at Kentucky Clinic she is very professional and considerate of patients physical pain/conditions. Dr. Belin did not treat me with much consideration of my fistula's sensitivity. He squeezed hard until I almost felt tears coming to my eyes and casually suggested that he cut it open and probe (it was on my posterior). I am a full time employee who he would have made a small surgical operation that would have left me unable to sit for 2 weeks according to him. I would not have been able to work if I had not asked him to stop and allow me to consider what I would like to do. I do not know how he receives the recent positive reviews, but he was very absent minded and inconsiderate of the pain I was in. There was no warning of the quick and hard squeeze of the fistula nor any stopping after I gasped in pain and yelped slightly. After immediately going to Dr. Beck at UK I saw the DRASTIC difference in professionalism of procedure and explanation.

My experience with this Dr wasn’t a pleasant one. I could feel the probe which was hurting and he just went on until I was in tears, they then gave me more anesthetic which put me under. I was in recovery fully out and a nurse came in, told my husband she needed the room for another pt to which he told her I wasn’t awake. She again told him she needed the room and I was wheeled out under anesthesia. Another nurse I assume helped my husband get me in the car. I didn’t awaken until after 4pm that afternoon. This was not the kind of service I was expecting, you don’t send a pt out of your office still fully under the effects of anesthesia just because you need the room. This was totally inappropriate of this office.

Dr. Belin is such an amazing colorectal surgeon. He's well informed on the most current and innovative approaches in colorectal surgery, and does such a thorough job of explaining the procedure he will be performing. He recently performed my mom's colon cancer surgery, and did such a wonderful job that I wanted to take the time to ensure that others knew of his skill and expertise. Additionally he has a terrirfic bed-side manner which eased mom's worries. I highly recommend him!

Great Doctor, knows his stuff, but if you are on Medicare and can't afford your co-pays and bills he will drop you like it is nothing. We all know Medicare pays them enough, these Doctors want to get rich off poor people like us and if we can't afford them then they say find another Doctor . He did surgery on me two years ago, I couldn't afford to pay him I'm on a lot of medicines and have a lot of bills and could not pay what medicare did not cover, got sick again and he has refused to see me.
