Almost exact same experience as another reviewer
After reading the review “The single star reviews tell it all” it echoed all of my same concerns. Bruce Berwald was my elderly parents doctor and the lack of care us as their children witnessed when we had to be more involved in their care was quite disturbing. No recommendations for routine tests which could have caught a symptom early. I think the lady that works at the front desk is Shannon who is cold and lazy. I did like the female nurse practitioner who stepped in when the doc couldn’t be seen. My father passed from his advanced sicknesses but fortunately we convinced our mother to get another primary doctor.

The single star reviews tell it all.
Where do I begin. When you walk into the waiting room, there’s dusty wall hangings of dead fish he’s caught. Then of course there’s never anyone sitting at reception desk behind the glass opening to help you, as if their time is more valuable than yours. The office personnel are cold and have a can’t be bothered attitude. Then there’s Berwald…. He immediately shows you his better than thou pompous air about him. He neglects to send you for the most routine maintenance tests and procedures that any caring, or at least competent, primary care doctor would send their patients for. If you don’t request for your care, he just doesn’t bother to either. Most worthwhile retainable doctors go above and beyond for their patients and after leaving this office behind, I see what that compassionate care looks like. This guy is not one to go to or consider keeping. Save yourself some frustration. Berwald and Shannon are not a good couple to manage anyone’s care, definitely not for mine.

Horrible. My grandpa had him and my grandma currently does. Pretty much asks my grandma when she’s gonna stop trying to fight her cancer, and encourages her to just stop. Canceled all of her in home therapy nurses because she couldn’t get to his office for an appointment in the middle of a snow storm. Don’t recommend anyone to him.

Awful, rude staff. The place smells of rotten sewer odor and is just plain nasty. The equipment is from the 60s....maybe 70s...and it looks and smells like it. I would've usually overlooked something like this if the doctor and the staff was credible but this place is just awful and they're rude and if you do anything for yourself today definitely do not go to this place.

The office staff is not friendly, their office hours are awful and they don't return phone calls. They terminated me as a patient I'm guessing because I had an out of pocket balance of $120 that I was unable to pay in a timely manner due to an unavoidable situation but eventually would've paid it. And still plan to pay it. It's their right to make that decision, but they did so without notifying me, I had to call numerous of times and was finally informed that I couldn't make an appt. Since they didn't take my new insurance, I was being charged a $60 fee each visit, I didn't want to keep making appts knowing I still had an outstanding balance from two visits before. Seeing as though nothing was wrong with me and my medical condition hadn't changed, and nothing that required an actual office visit, they wanted me to STILL be seen just to have my ongoing monthly prescriptions refilled, which would've became costly. They never reached out to me other than to bill me. I'll find another Dr.

Dr. Bruce has been my Dr. For 10 yrs now. He has helped me through some tough times physically. He does have my best interest at heart. There are some things he had to send me to a specialist but he did just that. Working together I am so much better now. I think he is very professional and human. I want to thank him for caring for me and his staff is awesome as well. They take good care of my health.
