Dr. Kalmin took time to discuss my problems with Microscopic Colitis (which he discovered at my colonoscopy 5 years ago.). He also prescribed a new medication for me to try. This was all done during my appointment to schedule a colonoscopy. I appreciated the this additional help.

Be prepared to wait and wait
After having my appt rescheduled 2-3 times I had to wait 1 3/4 hrs to see him for 5 mins. While he is ok, I find the waiting rude and unprofessional.

I like Dr Kalmin because he educates me and offers suggestions about how to reverse my health problems with lifestyle changes. He keeps an eye on my bloodwork and orders tests if he has any concern or needs baseline knowledge but has so far, in 3 years, never prescribed drugs. My health has improved by following his guidance.

Despite the current pandemic, Dr Kalmin was very accommodating in changing out my PEG tube that was malfunctioning. The procedure might be one that I could do myself, but being elderly, I wasn't confident that I could do it. I'm very grateful to Dr. Kalmin for taking the time to help me out.

Dr. Kalman has a great bedside manner! He took his time, listened closely to my son’s needs and the symptoms he was experiencing, jotted his notes as we spoke, examined tests performed (at hospital) and exhibited a vast knowledge of the G. I. tract! Was truly an informative experience. We came out of his office with a great deal of information, not previously known. I wish all M.D.’s had his demeanor. My hats off to you and your lovely staff.

I filled out the old patient form on the web site. When I got to the office I was told that as I had not been there for 3 years I needed to complete the new patient form. I had spent half an hour of my precious time completing the old patient form, checking it and printing it. You need to add to your web site that if a patient had not been seen for 3 years or more, the new patient form needs to be used. My time is as important as yours!

The office is excellent and Dr Kalmin does a very good job. I just do not feel that he has the best rapport with his patient. He is not warm and comforting and this was my first experience with him. I was accustomed to my former physician who retired. I guess as long as you do a good job that is the main goal.

I was very pleased with Dr. Kalmin. He spent an exceptional amount of time reviewing my case and my history and assured me he had reviewed all of my prior medical history. He listened to my views and concerns, which is very important to me having been a cancer patient twice in the past, and having some issues that possibly many others do not. He gave me many options and explained them thoroughly. I definitely am pleased with Dr. Kalmin and look forward to keeping him as my G.I. doctor.
