I made the mistake of letting him do surgery on my eye. We have been friends for many years and that has ended. No need for all the details but please don’t let this man touch you except for an exam please. Had lots of complications had to go to another Doctor. He truly doesn’t know what he’s doing!!

I have been going to Dr. Newman for annual checkups for almost ten years. When earlier this year I was told I needed cataract surgery on both eyes, I did not hesitate to go forward. The preparation was thorough, with the staff very kind and thorough. Both surgeries went smoothly and were very successful. As was post-op care. I opted for long distance viewing, with the progressive glasses used for reading. Being an artist, it was important to me not to have to take my glasses on and off. I highly recommend the Newman Eye Center.

If you don’t read anything beyond the first sentence, this doctor does not know what he is doing. I have been getting glaucoma testing for 7 years and each visit progressively gets worse. Long wait times to even get in an exam room, at least 30 minutes past each appointment. Once you are in the exam another long wait ensues. Once the doctor sees you, he literally tells me to google treatments in order to treat my pre glaucoma. Thanks webmd.

I've only had positive experiences with Dr Newman and his staff. This office was referred to me as my former optimologist had moved. They have exceeded my expectations when, not only did they provide a thorough Eye exam, but they also provided some treatments that I feel are a fair price and I'm thrilled with the results! I would recommend this office.

Worst service ever waiting and waiting while the staff is rude and uncaring. This doctor is having an issue with staff that should work for the airlines and learn manners

These professionals are wonderful. Dr. Newman is courteous, answers all questions and is as accommodating to the patients needs as possible. We especially liked Sue. She went way out of her way to be helpful, informative and welcoming. Truly great experience. All the staff there is just terrific!

I would not recommend him to anyone... they informed me my visit would be covered under my insurance as a medical claim and they said they took my insurance. I received a bill from Newmans office months later for $450...$450???? My insurance company said they were out of network, all in all I ended up paying $265 to go there and wait for a really long time to be told by Newman that my blurry spot could be stress or a tumor...really? Thanks for that Mr. Newman. Shady person, who rips people off.

I was appreciative of their willingness to see me quickly due to an emergency iritis flare-up, but once I was there I was not impressed. I didn't get a clear diagnosis or an answer to my pain and treatment questions. In fact, I felt like I mostly treated myself. In addition to this, the staff made me feel like an inconvenience - the woman handling scheduling and insurance was rude at best. Try a little empathy.

Bad experience . All he seemed to care about was my insurance coverage an did they have my credit card yet. Terrible personal skills. Did not talk or make eye contact with me. Due to these factors I did not trust his findings since all he seemed to want was to get my visit covered by insurance

Dr. Newman has been my ophthalmologist for over 25 years. He is very precise. his persona is very calm, therefore, always making me feel comfortable. he performed Lasik surgery on both my eyes back in the early 90's. such a great job i never had to go back for adjustments. I felt relaxed and knew everything would turn out great. He and his staff make us feel like family every year when we schedule our appointments. i moved from Phoenix to Peoria and still drive the distance for appointments.

Dr. Newman performed PRK surgery on me in 2015 and it was the best medical experience of my life. Well, the surgery was terrifying, naturally b/c its on your eyeball and you are awake....but the office was: Very accommodating. Treated me like I was family. The entire staff was friendly, patient, and 100% professional. Love them all.
